bit of a bizarre post but I was scouring through my mums loft recently and found my backpack from school about 16 years ago, I thought that's handy I won't need to buy one, been wearing it as its in good condition and its convenient. As I was walking to the shop a man approached me from behind in awe and was complimenting my bag it's a Airmax 95 backpack and they stopped making them years ago apparently he said it will be worth a load of money to a collector or someone else if I know who to speak to. Unfortunately I haven't got a clue about backpacks, I did some research but I can only find a neon green bag from airmax 95, can't find my bag anywhere online so I'm guessing it's rare? Can anybody point me in the right direction? I have no clue who to ask about this.. but anyway here

I'm looking for a new work backpack. I work in education, so it doesn't have to be super formal, but it should look like it belong to an adult who is going to work. I need to carry a laptop, a water bottle, lunch, and one very large book, and to be of good quality so that it will last for the next bunch of years. The challenge is, my shoulders are very narrow, so a lot of backpacks are uncomfortable for me because they're too wide. I've tried looking for women's options got overwhelmed. Any recommendations?

I have been looking into backpacks for biking that are waterproof and sadly most of them have bottle-inside layout, meaning that there is no external pouch/holder (e.g. Vaude, Ortlieb).

I have always had only backpacks with external bottle holder (for safety reasons - to avoid spilling any liquid inside the backpack), but wanted to ask how safe actually such setup is? Is it really fine to keep a bottle inside the backpack, next to e.g. your laptop or notebooks? Or is it an absolute "no-no", as the risk of spilling liquid and destroying important goods is just too high? Thanks!

I'm looking for a long lasting backpack with 2 main pockets for my gym kit and textbooks, other small compartments for my pencil case, phone, gum, etc, preferably in black or a dark grey that won't stain as easily, and with a shoe compartment at the bottom, padded shoulder straps and back, I also don't like strings but I'm willing to consider if the backpacks good, Duffels are acceptable, (ideally less than £55) the closest one I've found is the under armour project rock but that was in cream and the black one was like £70 and the under armour hustle 5.0 eh Ch seems to be out of stock almost everywhere.

I don't own a labtop yet but i plan buying some in the future. I want to have a outside compartment/bungee for dirty clothes, and a sternum and idealy a hip strap. I recently bought a second hand Lowe Alpine backpack (Appalachian 65+15). It's a fantastic bag and exactly what I was looking for.

However, I noticed the male part of a buckle was missing. After buying a 25mm buckle (as specified on the female part), it became clear this was not the right size. After contacting Rab, hoping they would point me in the right direction, they helpfully provided me with a buckle set. The male part they sent unfortunately doesn't fit the female part (circled in the first picture), so it looks like I'll have to replace the female part.

Is there a way of doing this when the female part is sewn down (also shown in the first picture)? If it helps, I've also provided the buckle Rab sent me (the second picture).

It’s 230T twill fabric with a honeycomb pattern. Personally, I think it’s pretty good. The fabric doesn’t look great in photos, but it’s actually much nicer in real life.

Side Pockets:

The side pockets come with zippers—they can be tightened when not in use. When you unzip them, there’s a retractable elastic pocket inside. It fits a Thermos perfectly, but a Tumblr cup won’t fit. Regarding the Back Panel:

Found this metal part in my luggage box after a flight (together with my Osprey Atmos AG 65). Thought it was a part of the pack, that somehow got out of the pack during the handling, so picked it up in a rush and took it with me... what could this thing be?

I’ve always had big and bulky backpacks so I’m now looking for something with a smaller profile (and maybe more professional looking) that fits a 13 inch MacBook and an iPad. It doesn’t need to fit anything else. But I don’t want the exterior of the bag (the part that’s against your back as you’re wearing it) to have a mesh covering.

I walk a lot wearing my backpack and my old backpack had a mesh exterior that would rub against my clothing and caused the stitching on my jacket to rip apart.

so long story short, im very particular about what i want but havent found a right bag. I got TNF Surge but that was a bit too big and had manufacturing defects which is why i returned it, i switched to looking at options between 25-28L now

Need is - - 3 main compartments - good enough compartments - good quality - 95% would be for work - general work bag, nothing too crazy -$150 CAD budget - Shouldnt be too bulky - Should have some design to it

So i boiled down to Thule Enroute 26L but there seems to be alot of people saying it has quality issues, is it so and is it that bad?
