Possibly the only Player of the Game *of a regular season game to be named after they had picked another Player of the Game.

One of them was the 1984 NL MVP. The other one was the 1985 NL MVP. 2 class acts, imho.

1986 World Series game 6 NBC named Marty Barrett player of the game right before the Sox blew it. No idea if they ever changed it.
