Question How Did We Win the 2008 War?

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hello! Today, in this article, we will discuss how Georgians won the war against Russia.

First, let’s ask a question and answer it ourselves: What was Russia’s goal in the war?
Russia’s goal was the capitulation of Georgia—that is, the overthrow of the state and the replacement of its government.
Did they achieve this? Not at all.

It is true that Georgia temporarily lost control over Akhalgori, the Kodori Gorge, and a few villages, but it maintained its independence, thanks to the then-government and the sacrifices of Georgian heroes.

To strengthen this argument, let’s give a clear example: the United States had a large military presence in Afghanistan for 20 years. Its main goal was to subdue Afghanistan, but it could not achieve this, and eventually withdrew its forces. Think about it: did the U.S. ā€œwinā€ that war because it defeated the Afghan people? Of course not.

History has many similar examples: the Winter War in Finland, the Vietnam War.

Therefore, if you are Georgian, do not diminish the honor of your nation, do not downplay the lives sacrificed by Georgian heroes, and proudly state: in 2008, Georgia truly won the war that Russia started!

In the next article, I will discuss ā€œHow the War Started by Russia?ā€

Hey guys!

I grew up in Dubai and I’m used to cooking and eating a lot of cuisines (Indian, Arab ofc, Turkish, etc). What are the best grocery stores for finding ingredients for those types of foods?

I know there’s carrefour in Batumi, is it the same as the ones in the GCC?

Thanks!! 🩷🩷

Hello, my friends and I have been traveling through your beautiful country for a few days. We come from Germany and have heard that the techno culture in Georgia is quite big, and since we love techno, I wanted to ask if anyone can recommend a venue? Today we are in Batumi, is there happen to be a rave there? And next week we will be in Tbilisi, maybe there is something there? Thank you very much in advance!

Question Looking for someone to support me moving to Georgia (country)

Hi everyone,

I know this probably sounds a little crazy, but I’m in a desperate situation, and I’m reaching out with honesty. I’m currently in the UK, but I’ve always wanted to live in Georgia for at least a year.

The problem is, I can’t afford the move on my own. What I’m asking is if someone would be willing to cover my ticket, accommodation, bills, and food while I’m there.

In return, I’ll dedicate myself to working as a social media content creator for you (or your business/brand). I already have a few hundred followers, and I’m steadily growing. I’d create and post content that you want (as long as it’s appropriate), actively engage with audiences, and work on building a strong online presence.

Any profits that come from the content I create will be split with you 50 50. I will also do housekeeping, cleaning, and babysitting as well as running errands and teaching english as I'm a native speaker.

I know this is a long shot, but I’m serious and committed. If anyone is interested, please message me, and we can talk through details and expectations.

Thanks for taking the time to read.

Question I am out of Georgia and need an official document with my Georgian address on it. I attempted to request an ā€œinformation cardā€ online from PSH with videocall today and was told that they cannot process my application because the call must be done in Georgian. Has anyone else faced this?

Question Best info on busses ?

I prefer busses because it reduces congestion. But it's difficult to find the routes.

Some of the data is in OpenStreetmap.org : I can go into the OsmAnd app and tap on a bus stop to get a list of busses serving that route. Then tap on the route number to see the route.

(The Batumi Bus app in the Play Store no longer works)

Then there are the private busses with numbers like 44 and 28. I have no idea where they go or how much they charge.

Question Cost of living in Batumi for one person? groceries, rent, eating out, utilities, and transport

Hi everyone,

I’m considering moving to Batumi and I have a few questions. I’d really appreciate it if someone could help answer them:

  1. Groceries: How much would monthly groceries cost for one person?

  2. Rent: What’s the average rent for a studio or a 1+1 apartment in the city and in the suburbs?

  3. Location: Would you recommend living a bit outside Batumi if I don’t own a car?

  4. Transport at night: Is public transport available at night? For example, from Batumi to Chakvi.

  5. Eating out: How much does a meal at a restaurant cost?

  6. Beer: Average price for a beer in a bar or pub?

  7. Utilities: Monthly cost for electricity, gas, and water.

Thanks in advance!!
