I was born in Belarus but live in Switzerland since 2008. I want to go back living in Belarus (I still have the belarus passport)

I want to buy an apartment in Minsk, my budget is 80'000 USD but I can't transfer it with the usual bank transfers because of sanctions and the usual transfer apps like Paysend obviously don't work for that much money.

Anyone knows a good, reliable way to send that much money to Belarus ? Maybe an international bank that still works with Belarussian banks or something. I guess there is crypto but I don't know how reliable it is and declaring that much money at the border can be risky too...

Калі пачынаеш гаварыць пра маскальскі генацыд беларусаў-ліцьвіноў падчас вайны 1654-1667 адразу пачынаецца такая вой-гістэрыя нібы казак нейкіх панавыдумвалі. Таму прапаную разглядзець праблему з самымі крыважэрнымі ўпырамі ў гісторыі чалавецтва ў найбольш шырокім кантэксьце.

Аказваецца, не толькі беларусы памятаюць пра свае, але гэтаксама памятаюць пра сваё і самыя старажытныя на плянэце - індусы. І яны добра памятаюць як было і было яно так. Індыя была як зараз Амэрыка - самая прасунутая цывілізацыя на плянэце. Чаму так склалася - бо іх з Поўначы надзейна абаранялі Гімалаі. Але манголы знайшлі праход. Справа ў тым, што маючы такую натуральную абарону народ Індыі ніколі не інвэставаў асабліва ў армію і шмат не ваяваў таму найперш разьвівалі навуку, мастацтва і г.д. Таму калі прыйшлі замежныя захопнікі, то тыя практычна апынуліся бяз абароны.

Дык што рабілі манголы? Рэзалі, рэзалі і яшчэ раз рэзалі. Індусаў нашмат болей таму і маштабы іншыя. Дык вось рэзалі да таго энэргічна, што аднойчы за адзін толькі дзень забілі цэлы мільён чалавек. То бок, як і беларусаў-ліцьвіноў, цэлымі гарадамі.

Трэба ж надаваць асаблівую ўвагу таму, што ў Беларусі ў асноўным зьнішчылі не проста палову, а менавіта найбольш разьвітае - гарадзкое насельніцтва. Таму пры археалягічных раскопках земляны слой да той вайны - ўсяго багата, а пасьля - поўная пустэча. То бок, засталася ад Літвы-Беларусі адна толькі тая “дурная вёска”. Дык і ў Індыі ўсё тое ж самае. Менавіта ўся тая самая індыйская культура, якой яна славіцца, гэта ў асноўным поўдзень краіны, а на поўначы з-за гэтых інвазіяў мала, што засталося.

А зараз, што такое паганы горад Масква. Калі манголы ішлі на Захад, то крыху прабіліся яны толькі праз Поўдзень і захапіўшы Кіеў асобныя атрады нават дайшлі да Італіі. Але ў беларускае ВКЛ яны проста засадзілі як галавой у сьцяну. То бок, узяць не маглі. Таму даволі натуральна, што пачалі там кучкавацца. Так бы мовіць, “зьбіраць крытычную масу”. Так і ўзьнікла Масква. І вось гэты маскавіцікі зброд сабраўшыся ардой рушыў на княства ў 1514-м, што вядома чым скончылася. Ну, а ў 1654-м яны усё ж такі знайшлі праход праз Эўрапейскія “Гімалаі”. Ну, а, дарэчы, плаціць дань і лізаць бот мангольскаму хану яны перасталі толькі пры Пятры Шалёным, што ў прынцыпе нічога не зьмяніла.

Так, што маскалі гэтак жа сама манголы, як і беларусы - ліцьвіны. І генацыд 1654-1667 ў Беларусі вельмі арганічна ўпісваецца ў агульны кантэкст мангольскіх інвазій нічым ад яго не адрозьніваючыся.

І ўсё да таго падобна, што нават сёньня Беларусь і Індыя знаходзяцца ў тым жа самым становішчы. Мяркую, што ўрад Індыі выдатна ведае, хто такія маскалі насамрэч, але купляе іхную нафту, бо ў Індыі - дэмакратыя і ім патрэбныя галасы тых, хто на поўначы. То бок, падобна, што індусы на поўначы краіны такія ж “дурныя” як і тая самая “дурная вёска”, якая кіруе зараз Беларусьсю на чале з Лукашэнкай. То бок, Індыя гэтаксама як і Беларусь падтрымлівае расейскую агрэсію сама сабе на шкоду.

Так, што прайшло нават не 400, а амаль тысяча гадоў і гэтаксама нічога не зьмянілася. Ну, а маскалі ж як былі крыважэрнымі вылюдкамі так і засталіся.

Таму варта беларусам і індусам аб’яднацца хоць бы маральна і пакончыць назаўсёды з адвечным ворагам чалавецтва.

After having my Belarusian friend stay at my place for a week, I’ve found out that it’s common for your people to use at least one piece of toilet paper after having a dump, even if tactically the back doesn’t feel dirty. Any reason why are you so wasteful? Is this a cultural thing, or a result of yhe harsh political regiment?

I'm a 17 y/o citizen for Croatia and this year my country is bringing back conscription for males aged 18-27, and so looking forward to move to another country that won't extradite me back to Croatia for evasion, till I turn 28 and no longer can be conscripted. In the immigration subreddit others have suggested to try to move to Belarus or Russia. So, how hard is it to settle as a refugee in Belarus? And what additional arguments should I use, to make the chances higher? Learning Belarusian or Russian won't be an issue for me, just like trying to follow your culture.

There isn't much information about this topic, mainly only pictures of specimen documents issued to refugees, that's why I'm asking this here.

And I know that Belarus has conscription of its own, however it's only for your citizens, not temporary/permanent residents or refugees.

My belarusian co worker told me he has Insider Information that the Byn will be more worth Soon so I should change all my Euros to it so I can Sell later. Is this true ?

Around a year ago I made a post asking about relocation to Belarus from America. Many people tried to dissuade me and had awful things to say about Belarus. Actually, after all the negative attention that was given to my post, I was given information from people that made it super easy to come here. I sold all my stuff and threw the rest of it in the garbage.

I'm proud to say that I've been here since shortly after that post was made. Minsk is a beautiful city, the food is delicious and the people are awesome. Everything is clean, safe, orderly. Not only do people not care that I'm American, more people speak english than you would think and they're very friendly. Absolutely nothing that was said to dissuade me was true. The metro is awesome, I've been able to find everything I need here, I bought a house, Russian classes are easy to find, all sorts of stuff. It seems that the American dream is still attainable and good places still exist.

Nobody here really cares about politics and they like their country. I've met many Belarussians that went somewhere else only to move back in disappointment once they realized how good it is here. The one true problem here is the low average salary, but if you have a solution for that then this is a great place. Best place I've ever lived, actually.

I seen odds for many other elections where you can bet money on on betting websites, but none for the one in Belarus. Since I think I know who is going to win, I want to bet on it. Any website where I can bet on the winner?

Today USA learned it had given “$1.5 million US dollars for art for inclusion of people with disabilities in Belarus”
