Fleming was living the life. He got to write books about all of his favourite topics in life (spying, espionage, cars, alcohol, cigars, women) and turn it into a best selling series that would later go on to be an iconic movie series. Unfortunately his other passion of bird watching didn't quite fit the suave super spy narrative and subsequently never made the novels.
