Could be a magic convention. When I was a child my grandfather was heavily into magic and we saw many famous magicians performing for each other in hotel lobbies and hallways. They LOVE to show off for each other. Plus, if he’s selling the gimmick he might be hosting a “master class” on it which would take place in the convention center.

ETA: I took another look and you can see badges hanging from the viewers in the background, def giving convention.

Now, I’m reminiscing of that time. It was so wonderful. So many amazing things to see, and fantastic shows. And my grandfather was a past president of the brotherhood so everyone would stop to talk to him. I got the shock of my life when I saw how the linking rings was done. My grandfather, father and cousin all performed a disappearing bird cage trick, so they’d line up and perform it together, 1-2-3. When I was 16 Harry Anderson performed a card trick just for me. Looking back, I had no idea how magical it was.

That was a lot, I know, but it’s Saturday night and I’m feeling alright (and also high).

Amazing how CGI, AI, and other tech has also come else can make unreal things look...real. This guy's legit. You can literally be inches away from him and it's just...everything hovering in space
