Building some inventory for an upcoming event. Should I add some color for pizzazz?

Hi me and my friend want to try bleaching clothes and have done a bit of research and it seems hydrogen peroxide is supposed to help stop clothes from getting ruined from the bleach over time - what percentage should I get as I've seen many different ones on amazon.

I’m wanting to attempt my first time bleaching a shirt, but I’m a bit confused on the process. I will probably take a couple hours or more bleaching this project so I was wondering about neutralizing the bleach. I don’t want the bleach to eat through the fabric, but I don’t want to wash off the stencil. Any advice?

Hi :). I have a black cotton shirt, the black uses a red base so when it’s bleached it comes out orange.

What if I were to add a dye, such as blue, and then later add my bleach art? Usually ppl add the dye after the bleach art is done. I am curious as to what it would look like if I did it the other way around.

Maybe color rings of both orange and color rings of blue-ish-ness would appear? Not sure if rings is the right word. I’m talking about the edges of the bleached area, where light meets dark. The penumbra of the art, per se.

I've been bleaching and selling clothes for a few months and have been commissioned to bleach a hoodie, I've tried to bleach hoodies before but I find they don't take the bleach well and go a kind of grayish (I'll add photos for reference) I try to keep my prices low (rarely over £30) but it seems like I'm looking at paying more than that just for the plain hoodie, and advice on more affordable options that bleach well is appreciated :)

I finished making this shirt yesterday, and as I'm typing this I'm sitting next to it spinning in the washer (cold wash). I'm wondering if I can wash and dry it like normal always? I know I see people talk about using a peroxide/water solution, but I thought that was just to stop the bleach from developing more during the working process. It didn't occur to me until now that the solution might be used at the end of the process to seal it all in and ensure it doesn't fade over time.This is my 3rd practice shirt, any tips and criticism would be greatly appreciated :)

i have this shirt that was bought for me a while ago. i rarely use it, and i want to personalize it as a new project because i still really like the Sanrio design in the front. the rest is a bit plain, so i was thinking of bleach tiedying it. the main problem is that the shirt has this plasticky factory print for the main graphic in the front. if i bleach it, how will it effect the graphic? it is a 100% cotton tee, if that helps.

I’m planning on cutting it up a bit to make it more “grungy and alt” for the show. Based off of the main poster for the NY show, I’m so psyched to wear it! (Please be gentle with any feedback, I’m pretty happy with it)

Hey :). Today I’ll be using OWB for the first time. Will I need hydrogen peroxide like I would if I were using bleach? Should I mix it with mater?

What material is best? I heard 100% cotton is best for bleach. Is it the same for OWB?

I’m on a low budget so I’d prefer to not spent a lot of $ on fancy full-cotton shirts/hoodies.

I've been trying to tie dye a few grey shirts all day and the bleach has not worked on any of them. The first shirt I tried was 50% polyester so i expected that one to come out poorly, but I'm surprised that it just barely even had any effect at all. You could not tell the difference from before and after. Even when I directly poured bleach on it it didn't have the usual lightening effect you get when you first put it on.

I tried the same thing with another grey fruit of the loom shirt that was 100% cotton and it did even less. I'm using Clorox bleach with 7.5% sodium hypochlorite so maybe it's not a high enough concentration? I'm really confused cause I accidentally got it on a darker 100% cotton shirt that was only like 3 shades darker than the one I first did and it worked fine. It also worked on my black jorts so maybe it's a colouring issue?

Please help.

I read that you can get a rusty/brown-orange look which I saw many of those here, but there could also be a gray/pink look with the bleached fabric. Is it a specific percentage of cotton maybe?
