There’s a rhythm
Who else thinks this song is a top song?
For me, it’s a personally favorite song over most songs. I wish I can explain why, but everything about it is perfect.
What’s your perfect song?

At first it was my favourite off of Sable Fable but lately I've also gotten addicted to Walk Home. But man when I first heard There's a Rhythm it stopped me in my tracks!! I went through a breakup about a year ago and when I heard that song it brought up so many lingering emotions that I didn't even realize I still had. It felt like I finally started healing, even if I had accepted it was over long ago. I love how he seems to be combining love, desire, regret, healing and acceptance all in one song, in a completely loving portrayal of someone moving on from a big love story (at least that's how it feels to me, might be projecting ) To me that song captures the passage of love and the passage of time, the meaning of healing, the acceptance of regrets and mistakes, the fact that some loves never die but that eventually we find within us once again the beating heart of life, the rhythm of one's inner self that keeps one able to open new chapters despite the grief, and in general a sense of awe and heart-opening. It's just so poignant to see Justin Vernon turning over a new leaf in his middle age, expressing such a deep sense of peace and acceptance after so many painful songs. The fact that he did it without losing any edge, that he even opened up his sound to new styles like RnB but without it sounding derivative, and that it's still as innovative, fresh, authentic in its emotion but still disciplined in its style... Damn, I haven't been hit so hard by an album since I was a teenager!
