Hearn: "I think we'll fight Cinkara around November, December time," Hearn continued. "If we don't get a unification after that, then it might be time to step up to heavyweight. It might be a little earlier than anticipated, but you can't just wait around forever.

Fighters who stay standing between rounds

I noticed Baraou chose to stand in his corner during rest periods between rounds against Tellez last night and it had me wondering who else is known for doing this. I can recall Canelo and maybe Bernard Hopkins being two others who do this. Bernard said it sent a mental message to his opponent but what are some other benefits to this approach?

Manny Pacquiao has revealed who he believes to be the better fighter between two of the biggest names in the sport – Naoya Inoue and Gervonta Davis.

Inoue is widely considered to be one of, if not the best active fighter on the planet. The 32-year-old from Japan currently reigns as the undisputed super-bantamweight champion, remaining unbeaten as a professional since making his debut back in 2012.

“Inoue [would win against Davis]. Inoue is fast. Inoue’s style is like when I was young.” - Pac-Man.

Has Pressure Fighting (Swarming) Died in Boxing?

Is it me, or has the art of pressure fighting died in boxing? Other than GGG, who's pretty much inactive and close to retiring, I have yet to see any modern fighter employ such a come forward tactic/style, especially in the heavyweight division. Swarming is pretty much gone in the HW division. Such a pity since old heavyweights frequently employed such style; Marciano, Tyson, Dempsey, Frazier, Tua, and Norton come to mind.

Are there any fighters today that employ the style of these aforementioned men, particularly in the HW division?

any DATA PROFESSIONALS out there in the boxing world?

Hey guys, I have been working on scraping and building data for boxing and I'm at the point where I'd like to get some help from people who are actually good at this to see this through so we can open boxing data to the industry for the first time ever.

It's like one of the only sports that doesn't have accessible data, so I think it's time....

I wrote a little hoo-rah-y readme here about the project if you care to read and would love to get the right person/persons to help in this endeavor!

cheers 🥊

Derevyanchenko deserves more love. When he was the mandatory challenger in the IBF, the IBF champ opted to fight a 154 pounder coming off a 2 year layoff & gave up his title. A year later, he would go on to show us why he was initially avoided & lose a controversial UD. He never got a rematch.

Mayweather when he was pretty boy was a more agressive fighter that threw combinations and had knockout power. Mayweather put on a good performance against n'dou and knocked him out. Shakurs style and fighting ability has been compared to money mayweather and not pretty boy and many ppl say money may was more skilled than pretty boy. Who would take it?

P4P is Roberto Duran The Greatest at Brawling?

I know brawling has a negative connotation among most boxing pundits. It's often used to describe as a tactic of fighters who favor brute force and slugging due to their lack of finesse and in-ring craftsmanship. However, some people in other forums have claimed that it has its place in boxing, especially in crucial moments that require it.

When it comes to brawling, I often hear that Duran is arguably the best at utilizing it, even though his skillset and defensive skills exceed the stereotypical brawler. Some would even go as far as to claim that he is the most technical and well-rounded brawler in boxing history, as oxymoronic as it may sound. Are there any other fighters who can brawl better than Duran in any place in history?
