Time when a specific weight division was at it's most stacked in your opinion.
Over the years we've had stacked weight divisions come and go, what weight class do you think was the most stacked? And in what era?
NOTE: In this case it doesn't matter if the elite fighters all fought each other, the division just needs to be at it's most competitive, with fighters that you feel could beat most of the fighters from any other era.
I would pick the middleweights (160) of the early to mid 90's (91-94). So many great/ talented fighters came out of that era, Michael Nunn, Sumbu Kalambay, Roy Jones, Reggie Johnson, Julian Jackson, James Toney, Mike McCallum, Gerald McClellan, (Bernard Hopkins near the end). England had Chris Eubank, Nigel Benn, Michael Watson and Steve Collins.

What happened to the welterweight division?
This is the first time in my life that welterweight has been one of the weakest in the sport. Traditionally when you look to boxing, you look to welterweight, middle, maybe light heavy then heavy for the stars. Every potentially world class welterweight seems to have moved up - Ennis, vergil ortiz jr, crawford (until massive jump for canelo cash). Some massive stars the other side too - teofimo lopez. Brian Norman is an American welterweight deemed best in the world by the ring and I have never seen one of his fights. Stationis decent fighter but shouldn't be top 10 in glamour division.
Do people think this is the end of specific divisions having an aura? Is this the weakest the division has ever been? And what are your hopes for the division in the future?

Haney vs Loma; Robbery or Nah?
I know this fight is what seemed like ages ago, but I gotta ask am I the only one that thinks this fight wasn’t a robbery. I swear everyone and the momma says that Lomachenko got robbed. But like why tho? I watched the fight so many times, most recently I watched it and I scored the fight a draw. The only “robbery” imo was the judge that scored it 116-112.
I think there are some things that are being overlooked, like how Loma was the first half of the fight before turning up in the rounds 6/7 and onward (and I don’t think those 5 second flurries he was giving in earlier rounds was enough to win those rounds) and how the rounds were closer than y’all think. Round 6 was a close round, and round 9 was a very close round. I gave round 9 to Loma, but I seen some people give this round to Haney. And Obviously round 7 and round 11 were clearly Lomachenkos round no questioning. Maybe if he fought the entire fight like that he would’ve won 🤷🏾♂️.
But that’s the way I seen this fight, a very close and competitive fight that could’ve gone in either mans favor. Could it have been biased… maybe. I mean the judge scored a 116-112 round which is complete bs. But I think it was a close fight

Pick apart Canelo’s resume and then build it back up again
I think this would be an interesting exercise for both people who love Canelo and people who dislike Canelo.
Start off by breaking Canelo’s resume down (criticisms, holes in the resume etc) and then turn around build him back up by talking about the best parts of his resume, what fights/performances are his best and most underrated and what he doesn’t get enough credit for, etc.
Finally give his resume a grade out of 10.

How come people defend Roy Jones losing to Tarver because of age, but not Tyson Holyfield?
The general consensus among boxing fans is that Roy Jones would have best Antonio Tarver if they were both younger. Even though they are the same age, it is widely accepted that Roy lost athleticism and wasn't the same fighter as he was when he was younger. And no one considers Tarver better than Roy "because he beat him".
Yet when it comes to Tyson the pseudo intellectual take is that he it vastly overrated because he couldn't get pass guys like Holyfield. Tyson was out of the ring for 4 years, and visibly not the same athlete as he was in the late 80s, just like Roy. The drop off in speed and athleticism was apparent, and you are going to find any athlete that stops training completely for 4 years then comes back the same.
It is a more respected opinion to say Roy was the best ever than Tyson was the best heavyweight ever even though they both don't have the resume. Except the excuses for Roy's decline are acceptable for some reason.

I look almost identical to canelo.
I also boxed for 13 years and we are the same age. This picture was from the Mayweather fight and I was in Vegas for EDC 2013 or 2014 i think. And people kept asking for autographs. I cut out the person I was taking the picture with for anonymity purposes but I really want to somehow get this picture seen enough to the point he sees it.
What do yall think similar or no?

Better KO streak: AJ or Tyson?
Please read before you tear me apart for this! I was reading up on the 2010s heavyweight landscape and noticed that Anthony Joshua broke Mike Tyson’s record for a heavyweight champ KO streak — Tyson capped out at 19 before his decision win over James Tillis, followed by a decision over Mitch Green, while AJ got to 20 before a decision over Joseph Parker, and then a TKO over Povetkin.
To be clear — I’m not asking to compare them as all time greats, compare them H2H, or say who was the greater boxer or champion. I’m just wondering which is the more impressive KO streak, when we look at that stretch of their career alone. I know Mike Tyson has a more impressive career than AJ. But let’s just compare these 19 or 20 fights.
I think Mike has going for him the sheer brutality and pace of his run. He was 18 or 19 for ALL 19 of these fights. Which is sheer insanity. 12 of these were first round KOs. Only one (against Jesse Ferguson) went past round 4.
I think AJ has going for him the better names (when considering this stretch alone). His run includes (an old) Wlad Klitschko, a sitting (if unremarkable) champion in Charles Martin, and an undefeated top-10 ranked Whyte. Not mind-blowing, but better than Tyson, who wouldn’t face anyone in the top 10 until Berbick in ‘86.
Again, I’m not criticizing or detracting from Iron Mike and not comparing the two as a whole. Just curious how you’d rate these two runs.
