You should not be holding any large amount of money on a hot wallet, esp. not a mobile wallet. IMO. The security due to "billions spent by Apple/Google" isn't going to keep you safe from any exploit. Multinational corps will betray their users to governments on the daily for access to markets.

And ask politicians who have been spied on using phones (e.g. Pegasus) how safe their devices are.

Yeah you can use your mobile wallet which is inherently much more secure than using a desktop or browser wallet. But for someone like me who transacts often providing liquidity and staking for rewards, working on the PC with multiple screens is so much nicer than working on a phone screen. And for that I need a hardware wallet in case my PC is compromised.

I could be wrong, but point 3 in incorrect. If you lose the seed, you can still access your hardware wallet with PIN and send the money to a new wallet.

I mean they could actually fool a not so bright person using crypto. They are using Double Speak. Saying the limitations and disadvantages of a Cold Wallet without actually telling you how bad a Hot Wallet is. HA!

I've been saying hardware wallets are overrated since forever. They are a gimmick to take people's money.

I self custody for free without the worries of data leaks. Try understanding what you read before commenting and making an ass of yourself.
