What is this small damage on my top tube?

I just got my first carbon bike recently. There is a small paint chip at the end of a longish indent. I didn’t crash. You can feel it easily with your nail.

Does that compromise the carbon’s integrity? Or just a scratch and safe to ride?

Looks a little more than a scratch but nothing to worry about.

Tap around the area with a coin and see if the pitch changes in that area. That’s one way to test for delamination.

All my bikes eventually get marks here from getting on and off my bike, shoe tapping the top tube. I should probably do more stretching…. You’re fine too, they make baseball bats out of carbon fiber, that shit is strong.
