Moderator Mandated Bonding Free Talk Friday!

Hey everyone!

Noticed things have been especially dour here in the last few days (imagine that?). Thought we could use some off-topic conversation to remind ourselves that life outside of cancer exists. Read any good books recently? Seen any good movies? How's the weather out there today?

Rewatching Rick and Morty for the first time since diagnosis and have an absolute new love for the existential dread, chaos, and overall nihilism of the show. Literally healing my soul lol

I’m an avid reader, and up until my diagnosis I had a pretty lofty reading goal for this year. Since then I’ve been comfort reading, or rather, re-reading a favorite series. “Dungeon Crawler Carl” is an hilariously absurd series about a guy and his ex-girlfriend’s cat surviving a post-apocalyptic game show. My username is inspired by the series. I’ve probably listened to the Audible version 8 times. The series isn’t finished, but at 7 books so far, there’s plenty of reading to do. Be forewarned: it’s vulgar.

The weather is HOT.  It's Florida sure, but it's still really gross out.   Manifesting fall arriving fast and sticking around (I'm not going to wish winter on my northern neighbors).
