Uni Halls house G query
Hi there, my brother is moving into house G in uni halls in September and was wondering what it’s like there?
He’s currently worried about sharing a bathroom with total strangers and is thinking of dropping out already 😭😭
I personally can’t tell him what it’s like considering I was in Taly north in my first year.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Bit odd to be thinking of dropping out of sharing a bathroom? Bit princessy if you ask me. It’s not bad at all, they’re also not strangers these people could literally be your best mates for life. Uni halls does have a pretty solid social scene because it’s a bit further away, big flats with lots of people which I say may be the reason it’s social. Uber for nights out will be probable except on Wednesday if u join a social u can probs just walk to cathays. Free bus to campus which is pretty calm tbf and probs a good way to meet people in uni halls too, only a struggle for 9ams but let’s be real who goes to those in year 1. Tell him not to worry about Cardiff as long as you go in with confidence and just chat to people and get their snaps and put in the effort into making solid friendships you’ll get that back. I’ve seen this plenty of times this last year the people who constantly talk about how shit uni is will have a shit time and the people who focus on how great it is have a great time. Treat freshers like how it should be (mental) it is your chance to make some class mates, gain confidence speaking to people and have some of the best nights out of your life
