Medical Questions Accidentally got milk on my kitten’s eye
I was feeding my kitten yesterday and accidentally some formula fell on her eye, she kept eating no problem and went to sleep, this was yesterday night, this morning she had a little eye bugger (don’t know the exact name in english) but otherwise seemed fine, however today it seems like her eye is a little swollen (picture attached)
Should I take her to the vet? does anybody have any advice?

Kittens get eye infections all the time. Get medicated eye drops or ointment from the vet and it will clear up fast. A warm wet compress will help, but it can't replace the medication.

Just want to assure you that eye infections in kittens are SUPER common and EASILY treatable. You’ll see the vet, get the meds and baby will be okay. You’ll got this!

Aww that's so sad, what a lucky kitten that found you. Wishing you all the best op, keep us updated on the tiny fluff ball, I'm sure the eye will clean up, it's just one of those things.

im sure they dont mind so long as most of it went in their mouth XD yeah you may want to go to a vets office and see if they will give/sell you a bottle of eyedrops to kill any bacteria infection. dont let them talk you into bringing the baby in. you already know what caused the problem.. you dont need a second 800$ opinion.

Something that helped really well when we had litters and one of them had a eye infection was getting a cotton ball, drench it in COLD!!! chamomile tea and gently dab/wipe the outer area of the eye(s).

i would definitely take her to be seen. it looks pretty swollen and you typically don’t want to risk anything eye relating with animals.
