I see people bitching about the price, but with 17 g of protein per serving this is about in line with what a tub of protein costs.

Magic spoon protein cereal cost about the same, but has less protein and fewer servings. As far as protein cereals, ghost is not a bad deal.

This is terrible logic and probably exactly what Ghosts pricing strategy was.

It’s not terrible logic though, a protein bar with 20g is 3 to 4 dollars. This box of cereal has seven servings and even if you include the price of milk this is still one of the cheapest sources for protein. For some reason, people are expecting a protein cereal to cost the same as a regular cereal I guess?

And it’s cheaper than either of the competitors protein cereals.

They’re just adhering some basic protein powders and artificial sweeteners to the cereal and upcharging big time. Skip the middleman and just buy the protein powder your self.

But they’re not up charging big-time though. This isn’t competing with protein powders it’s competing with protein bars, and protein chips. Gram for gram this is cheaper than either. Protein powders are cheaper, but I can eat a few handfuls of this for a snack. You can’t do that with protein powder. Also, as I already said it’s cheaper than either of the other brands of protein cereal so if you want protein cereal, this is the best deal out there.

A box of this has 117 g of protein for eight dollars. 117g of quest chips will cost you about $15

Understood. I guess what I’m saying is none of this - protein chips, cereal etc - are really just a novelty. It’s possible to hit your protein goals easily without it, and has been for, well, ever.

So that said unnecessary thing is less expensive than more ridiculously expensive unnecessary doesn’t compute for me.
