Looks good. I'd top it off with minced onions and maybe a little cilantro though

Cilantro is an underutilized topping. It's really a gamechanger.

I'm a chili dog freak but, I wouldn't touch those. Might be good but look like something you slop hogs with

This is a generic reminder message under every image post

Thank you for your picture post to r/chili. We want to remind everyone of Rule #1. All image posts should be accompanied by something to foster discussion. A comment, a question, etc is encouraged.

If you've posted a picture of chili, please explain why in a comment so people can have some sort of conversation. Simply dropping a picture of food in the sub isn't really fostering any discussion which is what we're all aiming for.

Posts that are a picture with no discussion can and will be removed by the mods.

Thank you!!

Homemade chili chili dogs are the best! That chili looks bomb, too.

I love the fact that you put processed cheese in it. I love it 😋 n I hate how people always hate on you for liking processed cheese as if you can’t love all cheeses, including this one. I love it for burgers and things like this. It turns into a cheese sauce when heated it’s amazing 😻

Chili with beans do not go on a hotdog!

u/JCrusti 10d ago

ok, why?

u/Own-Efficiency-8597 10d ago

Its an unwritten law....
Beans are goon in chili as chilli but if its going on a dog there better not be beans on int...

u/JCrusti 10d ago

that still does not tell me why

Hot dog chili is different than bowl chili. Most hot dog places make it totally different. It usually has mustard in it and no beans. That’s what this commenter is referring to.

Because its weird / gross and most people will agree

8

u/chudeypatoodey 10d ago

I disagree with you..maybe you're weird/gross? Nothing wrong with beans on a chilli dog!

Go to r/hotdogs and ask this question.. Hot dog lovers agree... No BEANS in chili dog chili!!!

Nah, you're trippin, don't project your wack personal opinion on anyone but yourself. Beans can go in chili all day on anything

READ MY STATEMENT... I NEVER said beans do not belong in Chili. In fact I LOVE beans in Chili.
My argument is that HOT DOG CHILI should NOT have beans, which is a general consensus among Chili dog lovers... NO BEANS ON CHILI DAWGS!!!
