Early Autumn in the UK?

Does anyone else think apples are ready to pick early this year? despite the dry weather I see a lot of apple trees with an abundance of apples, my own trees are heavy with fruit although some are starting to fall off with the slightest of touches. They are not fully ripe yet but becoming detached so easily makes me wonder of I should collect earlier this year.

I've got access to several trees that are typically mid to lates but dropping fruit now. They aren't fully ripe, unfortunately the stress is getting to them.

I also have one tree that is typically relatively early anyway (September) but is dropping fully ripe fruit now, several weeks ahead of time.

You should be prepared to collect early but I wouldn't force it. Let them drop of their own accord, if the pips are brown, then is the time to give the tree a good shake if you want to.

Yes leaves on some trees are yellowing, bur more through drought than season, sane with the fruit. Katja has been picked already,3 weeks ahead, smaller than usual yet others are preforming well.
