Lack of sex/lack of intimacy now counts as oppression? I'm floored that there was even comparison with the racial discrimination faced by black people. They are not even in the same universe.
Supporting the idea that the systemic discrimination faced by black people is at all comparable to some guy not getting a date or sex is utterly ridiculous.
I'm so sick of self-absorbed people comparing the pedestrian difficulties they face in life to the historic oppression faced by black people.
Humans are social creatures—our happiness is contingent upon feeling socially valuable. If you aren't willing to accept this basic fact of human psychology, I'd say your capacity for introspection is severely lacking.
And don't tell me I'm self-absorbed. I'm not some incel appealing for sympathy; I just have a basic understanding of psychology. You're the one who's too consumed with your own pet issues (yeah, I see your posts on /r/blackladies) to think about anyone else. For shame..
You are so utterly self-absorbed it's astounding. The fact that you are going to ignore what the sub and its members stood for and proclaim "But what about poor incels?" tells me you lack basic empathy and any type of moral compass.
Who do you think you are defending? People who are advocating the rape of women. The enslavement of women. Child rape. That was what the sub was about. That is why it was banned. If you expect me to coddle a bunch of people who don't even see me as human because they feel wronged that women won't have sex with them, then you are delusional.
You and others actually feel that their "oppression"(disgusting behavior on display) is on par with systemic discrimination that black people have dealt with--it's ridiculous.
What. A. Crock. Of. Shit.
Go get some perspective.
Yeah, I post on blackladies, because you are Reddit incarnate. I dislike having to deal with stereotypical redditors like yourself, people who are "progressive" to the extent that the sensibilities of the stereotypical redditor are not disturbed.
Your lack of awareness is astounding--there is so much ongoing discussion in the mainstream about sexual assault, sexual harassment, toxic masculinity, etc. but all you seem to be concerned about are the "poor incels" on the former incel subreddit.
you lack basic empathy and any type of moral compass
Real original.. Instead of regurgitating this trite, self-congratulatory circlebroke chestnut, try actually examining your own beliefs.
Who do you think you are defending? People who are advocating the rape of women.
No, I'm not defending those cretins—/r/incels was a cesspit, and its existence wasn't doing anyone (least of all, its users) any good. However, unlike you and your ilk, I'm not too busy peddling empathy™ to actually examine and understand other groups' mindsets (wait, isn't there a word for this?).

a lot of black people in the US become financially successful. It doesn't mean that oppression isn't real.
