General Interest/Γενικoύ Ενδιαφέροντος Cat welfare programs in Crete

Hi everyone, I have gotten to know five little kittens that might not make it through the winter once the tourists are gone. I was wondering if anyone knows about cat welfare organizations that can help them?

The locals are very good about taking care of the kitties in their neighborhoods. It’s a thing for the cats to “adopt” several families, as well as having their local tavern/restaurant hangout. And there are actual foster programs.

They are good in terms of providing water and food - that bit is nice.

The bit that isn't so nice is that the cats are not taken care of after that, at all. I've seen sick cats and unspayed cats. Most cats had some sort of affection.

This happens when multiple people take care of one cat and no ones is directly responsible for it.
