Student What are some career options for someone who is studying Computer Science and into aerospace?
Im about to start my 2nd year in my Computer Science degree and after a while of trying out different things im CS ive decided that I really want to get into aerospace. But im not really sure about career aspects. Can someone explain please?

Whatever you do, don't smoke weed or touch coke. Just stick to booze and take Ubers home. A dui or touching drugs is frowned upon in a security clearance. Jobs are not very difficult to get but make sure you are willing to move after graduation. You'll end up in Seattle, El Segundo or butt fuck nowhere for the air Force/Navy.

Lmao yeah I remember a cousin of mine had to move to some random location for the airforce when he got his offer. Not from the US but rhat applies pretty much everywhere I guess

Good news, the aerospace industry is absolutely desperate for good SWEs who have actual interest in the industry.
There are tons of different things you can do - embedded software on vehicles, modeling and simulation, data analysis, internal web apps... Pick pretty much any subfield of CS and there's probably a place for it in aerospace.
What in particular interests you about it?

Im into data analysis and object detection, been learning that stuff this summer. If by modeling and simulation you mean CADs and FEA/CFD stuff then ive done that a little as well. Gonna try my hand at embedded once my semester starts, because my seniors are pretty good at it and I can learn from them( I did some stuff for this before but it was pretty basic and ive kinda forgotten lmao).
As for what interests me about it, i mean idk ive always wanted to make stuff and i really like vehicles(air, ground whatever). I joined a team at uni where we make automated drones for competitions(we're doing pretty well too) which helped me with this stuff. Flew around a drone when I was younger too until I crashed it into a window and got banned from flying it lmao.

Start at FAANG and stick around until you become a senior and see if you're still interested in aerospace then make a switch, it's almost impossible to go the other way around.

Tech roles at aerospace companies. Internships are the best way in.
