It is legal in Poland, brothels are not though

Same in Mexico, I think.

The well-intended idea is that no one should be taking a cut of the sex workers' income (e.g. pimps/madams) - but in practice, some of the legal structure can wind up making it difficult for sex workers to find a place to safely ply their trade (and hire security, etc.).
