The meme is generally just something propagated by impressionable kids/teens that have little real world experience in order feel included by following along with the narrative. I wouldn't take any of it at face value.

Have you ever seen many American cities compared to majority of European? Yeah I'm sure you can name a few walkable cities but they're the exception, not the rule unlike Europe. Wide ass streets, massive highways in cities, bad public transport in most areas, "loitering" being an actual term. You can ignore it but there is data that shows how much worse American cities are in terms of design. Don't even get me started on suburbs

Yes I've been to multiple eastern European countries, along with other continents all together. Each country has its own system of transportation/layout that works best for their specific culture, economic needs, and geography.

You're so busy letting America live rent free in your mind the whole point of my comment flew right over your head.
