I remember this shit storm. There is a guy on YT who literally Wireshark-ed his router traffic and found that windows was sending screenshots every once in couple of minutes.
Windows 10 saves your entire desktop activity by default unless you turn the multi-desktop feature off. It's the thing that is an alternative to window switching. Instead they just collect your entire interface and save multiple instances. Has a timeline time stamped and everything.
Lol. I'm trying this and every time I open settings and click privacy the window crashes. My system is otherwise stable, I have no idea what's going on with this.
Edit: just googled it and apparently this has been a problem for a while now
My settings window always crashes the mainframe. It can't handle the constant updates. My laptop was a 2017 refurbished model and the only way to prevent that is to sign in and boot up for 45 minutes. When I open the privacy settings for activity, it reminds me that Win 10 will stop supporting security updates after October 2025.
