While we're at it, just leave gifs as gifs. I have a mp4 to gif converter bookmarked.

It's heavy as shit

Try converting a video to a gif. It gains gif artifacts and like thrice the file size

Gif is abhorrent at best

I tried converting an animation I commissoned to a gif from 30mb to 10mb and it was mutilated, shit either needs to drastically increase file size limits, or allow other formats for animated things

probably because it wasnt even made to be widely used for videos

it was originally just an image format
