And how exactly do you make it impossible to download?

Particularly with some Japanese artists I know they'll use hosting websites which turn off the right click function, so you can't save images directly. They'll also have various hurdles to make it more difficult to see the art in general if you don't want to jump through hoops.

Of course, you can get past all these pretty easily if you have basic computer literacy and want to, but it is mostly to keep bots from scraping them.

This is where extensions like Right to Click come in, ignoring websites' attempts to rob you of functions they never should have been allowed to alter in the first place.

Yeah, it's obviously very easy to work around, but the artists are absolutely paranoid about anyone ever reposting their art, so they'll use whatever they can to make that harder, even if it's not actually effective

Everyone has the right to rob you of the right click dipshit, it came free with your fucking web dev language.

Unfortunately my "enable right click" extension gives me the right to rob people of their right to rob me of my right to right click.

You can argue whether or not a web application has a right to deny your ability to right click, but you absolutely cannot use "the programming language allows it" as a basis for that position.

Unless you think there is no such thing as malware.

In either case, the namecalling and swearing are not needed.

You can make trojans and ransomware with web dev language. Does that mean people have the right to do it and use them on people?

Are you seriously comparing this to literal crime?

Please come up with a normal arguement before saying anything stupid.

Yes people have the right to prevent right click on their page. It's their page and it's not harmful.
