My wife's type actually is smart skinny guys.
For a while I thought she was full of it until she told me her childhood crushes were like David Tenant, Flight of the Conchords and Jim Parsons.
When she told me her favorite original power ranger was the blue one I was like you weren't joking about having a type.

To pull things usually a form of connection from one object to another facilitates pulling. A rope is a good vector, why not find a girl who likes ropes and talk to her about why she likes ropes?

Studies that gauge women's preferences are bullshit and often contradict themselves.
You'll see a study saying women prefer men with facial hair immediately followed by one saying they prefer a clean shave. One study will tell you that women prefer men with sharp facial features and a strong jaw while another will tell you they find babyfaced men cuter and more trustworthy as partners.
Granted, there seems to be a general preference towards height, but what exact figure of height is preferred and how much that preference actually influences partner choice is up to anyone's guess.

u/mouse_8b May 04 '25
Height is boobs for men
107
u/Dank_e_donkey THE HALFWIT May 04 '25
No way the number of guys into flat chested women as well as big boobs are innumerable. Height preference is universal for women. Like majority.
Majority of guys don't care about boob size.
59
u/tootsieallgrownup May 04 '25
I guarantee you that if she gives two fucks about your height she dislikes more about you than she lets on.
A shallow rejection is usually motivated by lack of anything else to warrant attraction.
17
u/Dank_e_donkey THE HALFWIT May 04 '25
Sure, man. I know. What I mean is women's rejection for height is just too common to be compared to " boob size".
Never heard a girl complaining about it.
16
u/DragoCubX Trans-formers 😎 May 04 '25
I would argue this might be because "guy complaining about boob size to girl's face" is seen as incredibly sexist, while "girl complaining about height to guy's face" is seen as acceptable despite also being sexist
28
u/Willow-tit May 04 '25

Height preference is simple.
Women tend to go for men taller than them, men tend to go for women smaller than them.
Being "X" height is not attractive, and people who've tied their self worth to a number like that need to remember not to give a shit and find someone who likes them for who they are.
2
u/BuggiesAndCars May 04 '25
Exactly, as long as you are taller than them you should be fine and if you are like 8cm (3in?) taller than them (them in heels maybe) you should be golden.

The problem is humans are varied and different as such peoples tastes are varied and diffrent. there isn't a correct answer for atractiveness ethier for male or female. That's why study's fail when there is no objective metric you can't confirm things like this.
3
u/USBattleSteed gave me this flair May 04 '25
It's dependant but women are (in general) success oriented in looking for a man. Looks are kinda secondary for a lot of women. Men on the other hand, are very much looks oriented.
8
u/mobiuszeroone May 04 '25
Granted, there seems to be a general preference towards height
Seems to be, lmao.
Average male height in the US is 5'9" and 80% of women on Bubble already filtered that height out for being too short

men with sharp facial features and a strong jaw while another will tell you they find babyfaced men cuter
Depends on phase of menstrual cycle.
Normally, women prefer men with soft, gentle features. During period, they prefer men with a fork stuck in their forehead.

I think people need to understand that, the reason why these undesirable traits still exist in the modern day is because people across all generation where able to marry, have sex and pass on their genes. You can't blame your genetics for not being able to get laid when the only reason you have those genetics was that someone with those exact features had sex.

u/lIlIlIIlIIIlIIIIIl May 04 '25 edited May 04 '25
To be fair, your ancestors could've had those genes, only recessive and not technically showing or activated. So it wouldn't have been a factor in the parents mating, but it could become a factor in their offspring.
Autosomal recessive conditions are serious genetic disorders passed down when a child inherits two copies of a mutated gene, one from each parent. Examples include cystic fibrosis, sickle cell disease, and Tay-Sachs disease.
For a child to develop an autosomal recessive condition, they must inherit two copies of the mutated gene, one from each parent.
Parents who carry one copy of the mutated gene are called carriers and do not typically show symptoms of the condition themselves.
Even though parents may be carriers, the chance of having a child with the condition is 25% for each pregnancy, according to the National Library of Medicine.

statistically would actually make sense. Like, if you survey 10000 Women (which would still not be representative of the 170 million women in the US alone. For a 10% margin of error, the survey would need to collect data from 2.7 million women) and 75% say that they prefer men a certain way, you can say that women statistically prefer that trait.
That doesn't apply to all women, it just means that if you pick a random woman from a group, the chances that she prefers that trait over it's anti-trait are xx%.
Remember people, statistics are never about singular people, but about groups. The larger the group, the larger the sample must be to be representative.

Most of these stuff isn't needed to get laid. Else, you'd not see solid 4s getting married all the time. I always say that caring for your appearance is good, but focus is improving your personality as a whole, while staying true to yourself, because nobody is here to please others for no moral reason in the detriment of your own values. That said, not mindlessly following impulses and emotions and actually figuring out what they mean is the way, because nobody's here to be a jackass out of control, either.
I think most women can see through the act men put on when they're trying to impress them and it's so cringe. It's even worse when the dude follows some kind of dating coach, it makes anyone puke in their mouths. And they get clients also by creating insecurities that shouldn't exist so you pay them and their business partners money for stuff to fulfill a demand they created themselves. So a lot of it is bs.
