No? June is about supporting and celebrating both those who are LGBTQ as well as men. There is such a thing as a celebrating several things at once. Also, please refrain from calling people who are trying to be themselves "Rainbow Nazis" you insufferable bigot

20

u/Mastodon9 Jun 05 '25

The rainbow Nazi term was absurd and stupid but let's be real, as long as June is pride month it will never be anything more than that. It's very commercially viable and there are tons of activists who really promote it so it's become a huge deal. If you're forced to share a month with pride month you really don't have a month. You'll never get 1% of the coverage pride month gets. Maybe the current administration changes that somehow as they seem hellbent on doing so, but we'd be better off changing men's mental health to literally any other month.

u/Shantyman001 Jun 05 '25

I know several people around me who have celebrated Men's Mental Health Month. I know it will never get as much "coverage" but it is still celebrated and known

12

u/Mastodon9 Jun 05 '25

You're the extreme exception then. June is pride month 99.9% of the time. I have no issues with that, it's just unfortunate that an issue I think is very important also picked June. No corporation or organization will ever spend anywhere near the amount of time on men's mental health as they do pride month. Even if they tried the outcry would be huge.

2

u/arcadiaware Jun 05 '25

People say this, but it's rare that something positive is actually tried in relation to men's health, by companies or otherwise, to even be hit by backlash.

I don't celebrate pride, and despite falling in with the LGBTQ crowd, I forget that pride month is even a thing. Even then, it's understandable that a subject that's colorful is going to be easier to capitalize on than a mental health one.

u/KeeboardNMouse Jun 05 '25

Raising awareness of both would make both stronger in theory and

-15

u/Kiyan1159 Jun 05 '25

Calling anyone a bigot without bothering to hear their reasoning, is unreasonable and the definition of bigotry. You know nothing, and think you're superior. Get out of here with your nonsense.

16

u/Goldi3locks Jun 05 '25

You... You just called an entire group of people "rainbow Nazis" do you genuinely not see the incredible irony in your statement?

0

u/Kiyan1159 Jun 05 '25

Look in the mirror, they've been doing it for over a decade for anything right of Stalin.

0

u/Goldi3locks Jun 06 '25

Haven't Republicans screamed "socialism" and "communism" at anyone to the left of them?

Come on man, you're better than this!

21

u/Shantyman001 Jun 05 '25

Are you kidding me? "Without bothering to hear their reasoning" you literally compared a group of people trying to live their lives to NAZIs. You know, people who would gather up and slaughter those who disagreed with them. Also, the definition of a bigot is "one who regards or treats members of a group of people with hatred or intolerance," which seems accurate considering your description of them. (I only had Webster nearby, but I would've preferred to use Oxford)

-9

u/Kiyan1159 Jun 05 '25

They've been comparing me to the same fucking Nazis for thinking celebrating sex is kinda weird at 13 years old. I don't care.

Here's Oxford Definitions from Oxford Languages noun a person who is obstinately or unreasonably attached to a belief, opinion, or faction, especially one who is prejudiced against or antagonistic toward a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group.

7

u/Shantyman001 Jun 05 '25

Thank you. I definitely prefer Oxford over Webster as this is a much better definition

u/marcodol Dank Cat Commander Jun 05 '25

If you think about gay sex as soon as someone talks about gay people, that says more about you than anyone else tbh

0

u/Kiyan1159 Jun 05 '25

I was 13 and had just seen a public pride event where a man was bouncing his balls in another man's face. I did not want my 7yo sister to see that, why would ANYONE want their children to see that?

4

u/JeremyDaBanana Jun 05 '25

Surely you see the problem with using one instance of two people doing something stupid to generalize millions of people

1

u/Kiyan1159 Jun 05 '25

If it was only once, yeah. However, it keeps fucking happening. There's a reason people are pissed about LGBT, and it culminated in Trump winning the popular vote.

1

u/JeremyDaBanana Jun 05 '25

Millions attend those events and millions more celebrate pride without going to them. You're bound to find examples of people doing weird shit and it still wouldn't be representative of the whole, especially when the only coverage some media sources give to said events is highlighting the instances of it happening

u/marcodol Dank Cat Commander Jun 05 '25

You're giving him too much credit, he's making it up lmao

Where tf do you live??? I honestly doubt that lol

-1

u/BillionDollarBalls Jun 05 '25

that never happened bruh, that's some conservative media fear mongering horseshit.

8

u/JayMeadow Jun 05 '25

If you support men’s mental health, why won’t you actually do that instead of harassing minorities?

4

u/Kiyan1159 Jun 05 '25

If those minorities could stop sexualizing everything, harassing and assaulting people and setting shit on fire, absolutely. Would love to.

-14

u/moemoeayyad Jun 05 '25

They’re such fucking hypocrites bro, they clearly don’t care about what they preach and only do it to virtue signal because they’re too sensitive to accept that they’re bad people

3

u/Kiyan1159 Jun 05 '25

"we just want to exist! how dare you disagree with me, die!"

-10

u/moemoeayyad Jun 05 '25

For real man, they’re the worst

-14

u/moemoeayyad Jun 05 '25

He’s right, liberals (yk the people who support lgbtq) don’t take men’s mental health seriously and promote toxic masculinity more than toxic masculine men do. Under the delusional excuse that “well it’s all men 🤬”. “It’s all men” means women should be cautious around ALL men, that’s understandable. What yall are doing is fighting your own allies. And pride month could literally be any other month of the year, but the fact that liberals put it on the same month as men’s mental health, the thing that they hate, tells us that it’s very clear that they’re hijacking it. It’s one thing if it’s black history month, it’s another if it’s something from a group of people that hate men.

3

u/BecauseSeven8Nein Jun 05 '25

Technically Bill Clinton is responsible for both. So it’s not like it was decided by two different sets of people.

1

u/moemoeayyad Jun 05 '25

Bill Clinton is a liberal who used to represent liberals

6

u/BecauseSeven8Nein Jun 05 '25

So by your logic, a liberal formally acknowledged men’s health month, which you said a liberal wouldn’t do.

1

u/moemoeayyad Jun 05 '25

Nope, never said that, I said liberals don’t take it seriously. Besides that was the time when liberals were actually liberal. Nowadays they’re just hypocrites

2

u/BecauseSeven8Nein Jun 05 '25

You said liberals hate men’s mental health month. So which is it? Are they for or against it? From where I stand I’d say they’re for it, but they’re also for pride month as well. Which is ok. The two ideas don’t collide with each other.

1

u/moemoeayyad Jun 05 '25

The real liberals back then were for it, modern fake liberals now are against it, is that so hard to understand?

1

u/moemoeayyad Jun 05 '25

Remember when liberals weren’t capitalist bootlickers and were actually against war? Now they promote war on religion. They’re calling for a war on Iran because it’s a theocracy, because they’re Zionist bootlickers who hate Muslims, but don’t care about other theocracies because those theocracies are allied with Israel.

2

u/BecauseSeven8Nein Jun 05 '25

You’re making an incredible jump from men’s mental health to pro-war. What have you done this month to aid in your mental wellbeing?

1

u/moemoeayyad Jun 05 '25

It’s called an example, like your example of hypocrisy that you just gave. You made a jump from men’s mental health to an insult about mental wellbeing. Proving my point, you do not care about anyone’s mental health.

u/Shantyman001 Jun 05 '25

I know several people who are liberals who have said "Happy Men's Mental Health Month!" and asked how I was doing. Does this sound like people don't care?

-2

u/moemoeayyad Jun 05 '25

Oh, well too bad, it’s all liberals til it’s no liberals

6

u/Shantyman001 Jun 05 '25

A yes, back to generalizing people and refusing to acknowledge anything else simply because of their political standing. I fucking love it here

0

u/moemoeayyad Jun 05 '25

But to be fair this isn’t why I hate liberals, I hate liberals because, well befor the election I hated their sense of smugness that makes them look like white supremacists. And after the election it’s because they started accusing Palestinians of voting for genocide, for not voting for genocide. They’re incredibly tone deaf and racist…. Proving my assumption about them being white supremacists. Most people black agree with me on this too.

-1

u/moemoeayyad Jun 05 '25

No I’m just using liberal logic, here’s another one for you “well they started it”. Sure there’s a few outliers but it doesn’t the fact that majority of liberals are that way. You happy now? I said majority not all liberals.

3

u/big-booty-enthusiast Jun 05 '25

Nobody was fighting until you chimed in. Where is any of this rambling coming from? Sounds like you have a serious mental health issue.

2

u/moemoeayyad Jun 05 '25

This is exactly the kind of hypocrisy, I’m talking about. You liberals always virtue signal to support mental health and be against making fun of it, than use insulting mental illness as a tactic for people with different opinions. You can’t get more unhinged than that. It’s probably a projection, since borderline personality disorder is so common with liberals I’ll take a wild guess that that’s what you have.

3

u/BillionDollarBalls Jun 05 '25

There's something seriously wrong with you, bud. Your arguments are just rife with fallacies and misinformation.

0

u/moemoeayyad Jun 05 '25

Thank you for perfect example of what I was talking about, that’s exactly what liberal hypocrisy looks like

1

u/BillionDollarBalls Jun 05 '25

nah, you just don't want to be wrong. Anything to the contrary of my beliefs is an attack on me, so it's just wrong. I mean if you arent talking about cars youre having shit fits over politics.

3

u/big-booty-enthusiast Jun 05 '25

Why are you so angry?

0

u/moemoeayyad Jun 05 '25

Why aren’t you angry at liberal hypocrisy?

1

u/big-booty-enthusiast Jun 05 '25

I dislike hypocrisy from all parties including the liberals. Not sure what broad stroke liberal hypocrisy you’re talking about though. The intention of OP’s post was to raise awareness about the lesser known fact that it is also men’s mental health month in addition to pride month. You as well as u/Kiyan1159 decided to start bashing the LGBT community as well as all liberals out of nowhere. Stop picking arguments and let people coexist.

TLDR: First pride month was June 1970. First Men’s Mental Health Month was June 2003.

1

u/moemoeayyad Jun 05 '25

Hard to believe when you defend liberal hypocrisy

1

u/big-booty-enthusiast Jun 05 '25

If you have anything of value to add now would be your best chance. Instead you double down on “liberal hypocrisy”. You have no argument. Goodbye.

0

u/moemoeayyad Jun 05 '25

So why aren’t you against liberal hypocrisy? Cuz you are a liberal hypocrite.
