USA circa 1776 - 1865 : we're going to enslave you because you're a different colour then me

USA circa 2024 - Present : we're going to illegally arrest you, take your kids, deny you your constitutional rights and deport you to a country you were never in because you're a different colour then me

Not just that, but now they've made it so that farmers get to keep immigrants for indentured servitude under fear of deportation if the farmers decide they don't want them anymore.

We donโ€™t have to give constitutional rights to someone who is and never was a citizen of this country.

u/Sword117 Jul 04 '25

the 5th amendment says "any person" which makes sense because without due process you can just define someone out of the right. so no we actually do have to give some constitutional rights to people who were never a citizen of the country.

imagine if the 5th amendment was only applicable to citizens.

"hey we are deporting this guy"

"why?"

"cause hes an illegal immigrant"

"can you prove that?

"dont have too"

"huh? why not?"

"cause hes an illegal immigrant"

"that doesn't sound right"

"guess what we are deporting you now"

Yes you do. It explicitly says that in the constitution.

I know this and I am not even american.

-34

u/TheLegendaryLarkas Jul 04 '25

Which one? (Not an inflammatory question Iโ€™m lazy) edit: which amendment to be specific

47

u/[deleted] Jul 04 '25

The 5th amendment.

Here is a copy-paste from my search.

The 5th Amendment, specifically its Due Process Clause, does protect undocumented immigrants. The Constitution applies to all persons within the United States, regardless of their immigration status. This means that undocumented immigrants are entitled to due process and cannot be deprived of life, liberty, or property without a fair legal process.

u/TheLegendaryLarkas Jul 04 '25

Thank you, now I know which one to point when someone wants to blatantly ignore the constitution. And Iโ€™ll take all of the downvotes for being lazy lol

Just say you want some of that cheap labor china is advertising so much

32

u/[deleted] Jul 04 '25

And you think not having immigrants will make those jobs vanish?

No, those jobs will still have to be done. Only this time it will be " 'muricans " that will be arms deep in other peoples toilets.

Enjoy.

-37

u/Apprehensive_Gur_302 Jul 04 '25

GOOD! I don't want my taxes going to LITERAL CRIMINALS so they can have a house, a car, start their own family (a fucking american is struggling with that now) and get a job meanwhile not paying taxes whatsoever. What makes him better than the other guy? If an american has to clean the toilet, mow the lawn or renovate houses, then so be it, at least he will be insured id smth happens

23

u/VaginalSpelunker Jul 04 '25

But the president with 34 felonies is fine for your tax dollars to enrich.

Illegal immigrants pay 100 billion a year in taxes, and famously cant draw any of that back.

If an american has to clean the toilet, mow the lawn or renovate houses, then so be it, at least he will be insured id smth happens

Those jobs will just go to prison/slave labor, because Muricans won't do it lol.

-27

u/Apprehensive_Gur_302 Jul 04 '25

34 felonies? Never put on record

100 bilion paid in taxes? How can they do that when they aren't even allowed to live there?

Prison/slave labor? They're not getting a money launderer to fix someone's bathtub

Also don't pin Trump as the architect of this. Democrats had similar views with him before he took office. Maybe the UK should take some notes on said policies or the law will start losing its authority because, based on the MPs themselves, immigrants should not be reported for the crimes they commit

u/Slinky_Malingki Jul 04 '25

You're so goddamned stupid it's just depressing. So you know how when you get your paycheck from an employer a chunk is missing? You know, the part that goes to state and federal taxes?

Immigrants receive similar paychecks. Those checks get taxed. That's how you dumbass.

100 bilion paid in taxes? How can they do that when they aren't even allowed to live there?

Sales tax.

Prison/slave labor? They're not getting a money launderer to fix someone's bathtub

What do you think the next step is, if you remove the class of people that you exploit for cheap labor?

Also don't pin Trump as the architect of this

Nah, he's just a symptom of Republicans. It was always headed this way, they just needed someone with charisma to charm the idiots that they created by destroying the education system.

4

u/Slinky_Malingki Jul 04 '25

He has the charisma of a corpse. People voted for him because he doesn't talk like a politician. South Park got it right with their caricature of him. He talks like an asshole, and that's enough for people to vote for him. It doesn't matter how bad he is, or how bad the things he promised to do are. The simple fact that he talks like any dumbass crackhead on the street instead of an educated politician is precisely why people vote for him.

He loves the poorly educated for a reason.

Oh good. Thank God you don't want criminals mowing your lawn. Now then, time to elect a criminal as THE FUCKING PRESIDENT OF THE MOST POWERFUL COUNTRY IN THE WORLD!!! Genius move MAGA.

43

u/ThorinTokingShield Jul 04 '25

Lmao, you don't even know how your own country works but you're spreading misinformation about the UK. Maga gonna maga, Trump sure does love the poorly educated.

15

u/J_train13 Blue Jul 04 '25

Not only are you completely wrong it's really quite an ironic twist seeing all this horrible rhetoric come from the country of "Bring me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free"

u/ByIeth Jul 04 '25 edited Jul 04 '25

Trump supporters are unAmerican. They actively try to destroy the good parts of the country. The people they elected just voted to starve their own cities, and close down all rural hospitals. And will cut off millions from their healthcare, while increasing the deficit. All because they are bigoted and scared of immigrants and trans people

And if guy thinks that the erosion of freedom of speech will stop at foreign citizens, he is dead wrong

u/MutedIndividual6667 Jul 04 '25

Your country recently arrested and deported a norwegian tourist that went there through the legal methods of tourism, for having a JD Vance meme in their phone, and then you complain about the brits?

Thats pathetic.

Try reading the constitution before commenting about it. The fourteenth and fifth amendments are pretty damn clear that all PEOPLE within the jurisdiction of the United States are protected by the constitution

12

u/zkynaston Jul 04 '25

Lmao you are just plain wrong

5

u/Slinky_Malingki Jul 04 '25 edited Jul 04 '25

Yes you literally do. It's in the fucking constitution and for literally all of American history until now it has been this way.

By your logic legal immigrants and residents with valid visas and green cards have absolutely no rights and can be deported for absolutely no reason to a country they have never been. But I'm guessing you're all for this, just like the fascists and nazis who have destroyed this country.

Also, deportation literally means being returned to your country of origin. Now they're just carting people off to El Salvador whether they're from there or not. It's not even proper deportation anymore because people are being sent to countries that they have never been to.

u/Banner248 โ˜ฃ๏ธ Jul 04 '25

Destroyed this country? ๐Ÿ˜‚ Stock market is at an all time high, unemployment is low, freedom of speech has been restored for online platforms, southern border is closed, and somehow the country is in ruins? Hahahahahaha

11

u/Scrawlericious Jul 04 '25

Bro we just increased Medicaid requirements. A bunch of people are going to die directly because of the bill that literally just passed.

5

u/Slinky_Malingki Jul 04 '25

Can't argue with stupid. The "facts and logic" crowd are awfully silent when you present them with facts and logic. I got stoned and ranted below this dude's asinine comment with every bit of info I could remember off the top of my head. It really was a waste, but whatever. I don't have to work today and all I can really do is rant about it while sending emails to my local representatives.

I make $20k a year. I work a job that takes a lot of skill, education, and manual labor to do well. I make less than half of the median national income. I pay more in taxes than Musk or Dump or any billionaire will ever pay.

Data, facts, logic, appealing to human nature; none of it works for these guys. They follow Dear Leader blindly. They're no better than people who support Kim Jung Un or Xi Jingping. Absolutely nothing will break them free of the propaganda that they so desperately crave.

Fuck em. When (if) this all ends, I hope they get left behind. Dead weight. They voted for this. Let them reap what they sowed.

Rhetorical question: are you allowed to murder tourists in the US?
