I think it's just plain ugly. Phonetically speaking, those two languages are not compatible.

English is a Germanic language that was implanted with a bunch of romance vocabulary. But even the French parts of English are heavily anglicized.

Hence why old English is easier for Germans & Icelandics to understand than it is for modern English speakers.

I can't really say about the French side, but I think English with a French accent sounds kinda good.
