I love it when people make an effort to speak my language, even if it's clear they're struggling.

Tho it kinda hurts on the inside when they start speaking brazilian portuguese rather than portuguese from Portugal. I understand that the brazilian is more widespread, but it still hurts 😢

I haven't even been able to find a resource for learning Portuguese Portuguese, it's all in Brazilian

Unfortunately, our country is small, and there isn't really much investment in promoting our language outside our ex-colonies. It also doesn't help that most, if not all, of the search engines out there aren't able to recognise the difference between portuguese from Portugal and from Brasil.

It sounds like such a cool language to learn. It's sad there's not many resources easily available. Do I make friends with someone from Portugal to learn? 😅

Yeah, that might be your best bet. Do keep in mind that Portuguese is one of the more difficult languages to learn, so even with a native speaker, it'll be pretty hard.
