That aren't beholden to the whims of corporations and lobbyists?

I saw that you replied but your comment was removed, I don't know if you removed it or mods or whatever. I just wanted to say that the morality of an action doesn't depend on who does it. But there are gradients, not everything has to be exactly terrible or exactly great. And in this case there clearly is a "team" who's doing much worse for the issue that you care for (and everyone else's issues for that matter) than the other.

This is where I disagree.

I don't think Trump has done anything materially worse for Palestinians than what we saw under Biden. Would Biden or Harris have posted ai videos of themselves sunbathing in Gaza? No. But that's not what matters, murdering people is what matters and when it comes to genocide there is only one genocide. You're either committing genocide or you aren't.

Sure, let's compare them:

On one hand, you had one that, at the very least, pretended to try to hold Israel back. On the other you have the one who said "fuck it let's turn this into a resort".

On one hand you have one that, at the very least, pretends to take public pressure and protests under consideration. On the other you have the one who will do everything he can to get you arrested and, if applicable, deported.

From what I can see here the death toll has been relatively consistent, but the injuries increased dramatically from Jan 2025. I wonder what happened in Jan 2025.

Donald trump was sworn in on 20 Jan 2025, Israel blocks aid into Gaza on 24 Jan 2025. Is it a coincidence that they waited this long?

In other words. Equally bad but one is honest about what they're doing.

It's like you're agreeing with me but then coming to the opposite conclusion. How is this not proof that they only care about corporate and lobbyist interests over people?

Do americans have the same or less rights now than they had under biden?

Did the blockade start before or after trump's inauguration?

Did the injuries increase at a stable rate or did they grow much faster under trump?

Did trump ever do anything to serve anyone but himself?

When did israel enter iran?

Who pledged to give carte blanche to israel?

Who's making more and more weapons available for israel?

Which party is consistently voting against any kind of positive change for the people vs which one can sometimes bring up good legislation?

In other words. Equally bad but one is honest about what they're doing.

No, one's worst behaviour is not doing anything, and the other's best behaviour is not actually nuking Gaza.

And even if you wanted to pretend that they are both exactly the same on I/P, do you not care about anything else at all? Do you not care about security, rights, social benefits, infrastructure, jobs, or the economy? Probably not, I'd guess that you're barely affected by it, and are very safe and confortable behind your screen while innocent civilians, journalists, and aid workers get murdered in Gaza. But hey, at least you called out the evil Dems and let a crazy fascist in the oval office for the second time! That'll help the poor kids in Gaza!

No, one's worst behaviour is not doing anything, and the other's best behaviour is not actually nuking Gaza.

You can't even maintain a consistent position because all that matters to you is defending your team. At first they "pretended" to care but kept doing genocide anyway. Now they didn't do anything at all. You've stooped so low as denying their participation in genocide all to save your team's reputation. And all that drivel you spouted about how Trump was worse, I agree. But you give a simple criticism of democrats and your brain short circuits and you go off about how much more evil Trump is despite me agreeing. You're in a cult just like Maga.

Nah, Biden was holding BB back. You can say it wasn't enough, you can say it was just for show, you can say it wasn't effective enough, but it was something. Why else did he start to block aid at the same time as trump came to power? Why do the injuries increase much faster since trump took office?

And when you compare the candidate speeches, one was saying that what Israel is doing is unacceptable and one that said that he'll give them carte blanche.

So one's worst outcome would have been status quo and one best outcome would have been status quo.

The only semblance of a justification that you could have had is that the republicans were pretending to want to stop American interference in the world.

And even if we ignore everything and pretend that they both are exactly the same amount of bad on the IP issue, we knew that trump was going in office to increase the deficit, increase debt, increase prices, increase the wage gap, increase pollution, and increase corruption. So unless you're a rich brain dead single issue voter who doesn't care about inflation, housing, rights, or immigration, you are worse off now that trump is in office.

I don't have a team, I don't have skin in the game. I own my home, I have a vehicle, I don't care about gas because it's an EV, I don't care about inflation because I can still afford everything I want and more. I'm good, my family's good, my friends are good. I just don't like to see the completely avoidable suffering in the world. I also don't like the trend that trump is setting for conservative movements in my country. I don't like to see the social benefits that helped me early on be destroyed because some rich ass holes want to save a few pennies.

Nah, Biden was holding BB back

No he wasn't lmao.

Why else did he start to block aid at the same time as trump came to power?

Israel was trying to block aid the entire time.

And when you compare the candidate speeches

I don't give a shit about the speeches. I give a shit that they gave bombs to murder people in a genocide. It's insane that you keep falling back on this. "Yeah my team funded a genocide, but they were at least saying nice things so they aren't that bad". Fuck off.

No he wasn't lmao.

Yet

Israel was trying to block aid the entire time.

Hmmm... 🤔

It's insane that you keep falling back on this.

Well of course you'd think that because you're blind and pretend like things are just as bad now as they were before.

And again, even if you want to pretend that they are both equal on the issue, they aren't on anything else.
