A little while ago, i was on a bigger subreddit (cant remember which exactly) and all i said was it was okay to have differing opinions on whether or not it is morally “right” to be homosexual. 10+ hate comments and a few comment chains wishing me death, reddit can be crazy

I wouldn’t say I entirely disagree with them myself, they said “it was ok to have differing opinions on whether or not it is morally “right” to be homosexual.” not that homosexuality itself was morally wrong. I’d personally say there’s no such thing as morally “right” or “wrong” sexualities. There can be morally “right” or “wrong” sexual activity, like only engaging with consenting partners, but there’s nothing inherently “right” or “wrong” about who you do it with.

My guess would be that OP’s basis is that there is no moral “right” or “wrong”. It’s all relative to one’s cultural norms and expectations. So to OP’s statement, it is OK to have a differing opinion because there are hardly any universally accepted morals as it relates to right/wrong.
