Speeding motorbike slams into a car turning into a side street

Motorbike that is speeding ends up slamming into the side of a car that is turning. It looks like the motorbike was also trying to turn and thought he could get squeeze next to the car through the corner. Passenger received minor injuries, driver didn't end up making it.

You are correct - you shouldn't be maneuvering while being overtaken, but you also shouldn't be overtaking through a junction. Highway Code 167:

DO NOT overtake where you might come into conflict with other road users. For example approaching or at a road junction on either side of the road

I wouldn't blame the car driver here - they made a minor mistake by not indicating, the rider made a major mistake by overtaking a car through a junction with an excess of speed.

I agree, rider is 100% in wrong, just argued the driver might be in wrong as well albeit slightly, but looking at the reactions to my comment, I assume many people think this is a zero-sum game, which is not and that lack of knowledge is very dangerous.

Oh ya 100% agree - rider is definitely at fault, but better awareness from the driver may have prevented a collision.
