The tram was clearly in the wrong for not having a brake pedal.

The tram driver didn't even swerve.

Could have just jumped over that Mini.

Well in fairness. there's really no way of knowing where a tram is going to be in the future.. so understandable mistake

Shrodengers tram?

Concerned about getting ahead of the oncoming train, didn't even look for the one next to them.

Tram

A tram is also a train. It just hasn't grown to it's full size yet.

It's alright.  The wipers are still working

Always the wipers. I've lost count of how many crash clips I've seen where the only thing moving at the end is the wipers 🤣

I am convinced automobile engineers secretly add a system that turns on the wipers in the event of a crash, solely for the purpose of our enjoyment.

Wipers have a strangely comedic power I can't explain.

In her shocked confusion after the collision she puts the wipers on instead of the indicator she hadn't previously.

Trains don't exactly stop on a dime

No but they stop on a Mini.

Didn't seem to be the tram's problem. Sounds like the Mini's issue instead.

Trams, in fact, can :-D read about the electromagnetic brake (or how is it called) they have... That shit can stop the tram almost on dime... With all the consequences it gives with the amount of kinetic energy accumulated...

I drive a tram. When it's empty my stopping distance at 30 kmh is around 11.5 meters. Which is actually a bit better than the average car.

The train is mightier than the mini.

Second video today of a Mini getting pounded by a train. Other was Brightline.

And that's the 3rd to last time they ever "I turn now, good luck everybody else"

u/WordOfLies 5d ago

Gps: turn left

Driver without checking anything: ok

u/mjincal 5d ago

He drove with alacrity and precision straight to the scene of the crash

Tram driver here. I would love it if we were allowed to film all these idiots crossing our way illegally.

Poor mini. They are difficult to repair

Brno, Czech Republic

That city has a racetrack, maybe that explains the driving standards /s

purely off the fact that the tram hit a mini, I'm gonna guess the UK

its definitely somewhere that is (or was) part of the eu bc of the license plate design

Edit: considering the fact that the drivers side seems to be on the right (because of the side mirrors tilt, the cluster looks like its on the left, and the camera is on the right set of tracks,) I think this isn't the UK actually

It isn't france, though I think thats a peugeot, since the license plate doesn't match, so I'm thinking its Germany, though I'm not sure lol

It's definitely not the UK - car licence plates are wrong and they're driving on the right.

But having said that, I came in to say that this happens on average once every 2-3 months in Nottingham in the UK.

They also like driving up badly signposted tram routes and get stuck on the rails:

Wait... How many MORE signs did that person need??? 🤣

The commenter above literally said the exact city - Brno, in the Czech Republic. Why do you feel like your infinite guessing power is better than someone who just literally knows the answer

1

u/Bowtieguy-83 1d ago

bc theres 55 comments? I didn't see it

besides, it was mostly for fun, I knew I was most likely not really that close to the right answer lol

1

u/a-dino123 1d ago

No they replied in this thread, right above you, and fair enough I guess

1

u/HiFiGuy197 5d ago

I was turning left, why did you swerve?

1

u/Heart_ofFlorida 5d ago

Was that the mirror that shot into orbit on impact?🤣

3

u/Wallace-N-Gromit 5d ago

Mirror cap followed by the jigsaw windshield.

1

u/bobjbob 5d ago

Not from there, how is the on coming train signaled to drivers?
