Me too. At first I was just watching that hurricane, but then I got hooked into seeing other weather patterns.

I find it quite relaxing zooming out on my country - continent and then switch on the ocean - waves modes, with the grid filter on top it is kinda soothing to watch.

That wind map is so nice to watch. And you can control the height to see how the winds go at different altitudes!

It's also probably the best map to view wind currents around the poles, since it's on a globe and not just a flat projection!

I've looked at this occasionally for a long time. One cool thing is to turn the earth so your POV is looking straight down at the south pole. (click and hold, drag into position)

Seeing the winds whip around antarctica is mesmerizing. They're not fast right now, but there can be a LOT of of red down there.

https://www.ventusky.com/ is better for seeing some other things.
