DISCUSSION DC Animated films? Spoiler

Hi all,

I’m quite new to the DC animated film series, I’ve recently watched Justice League dark and really enjoyed it - wanting to watch more.

My question is, do all the animated DC films have a link / connection? Or is it all an independent series to its own? Therefore being able to watch any films in any order of release (apart from sequels etc)

Thanks in advance

Some are standalones, but others are connected. Here’s a watch order list : https://editorial.rottentomatoes.com/guide/dc-animated-movies-in-order/

In between the two “‘verses,” I recommend watching Constantine: The House of Mystery

It takes place right after Dark Apokolips War. You won’t miss much, but it does tie in

Had no clue this movie existed.

It’s really a short, but it helps setup the Infinite Earths Trilogy.

There’s different universes. The three big ones are the dcau, dcamu which includes JL dark, and the tommorow verse which is kind of a sequel to the dcamu through means I won’t spoil. If you want I can go more in detail, just ask

For the ones that are within a shared universe, there is a chronological order to them, but they also are able to be fully enjoyed in isolation, with the except of Reign of the Supermen and Dark Apokilips War, which are a direct sequel to The Death of Superman and is the finale for the DCAU series which is a culmination of everything that came prior.
