DISCUSSION The HBO Max that was Spoiler

Part of the reason I subscribed to HBO Max was for the consolidated collection of all DC animated films and I've watched them slowly evaporate from the platform. There's no longer a place to watch the entirety of the DCAMU and that's frustrating to say the least.

Remember the DC Universe streaming service? That was cool.

That pissed me off because 2 months after I paid for a full year subscription to the dcstream, they switched everything over to hbo.

I was refused a refund and now hbo is getting rid of all the good stuff.

So they didn’t honor your membership?

No, they just removed all of the videos from their service, and from them on out, they only had comics to read.

I would have been fine with it being just a comic subscription if i've gotten a partial refund, but I only bought it to watch the DC movies and tv shows. For comics I prefer in person.

You know where they don't disappear from...Plex servers

Until Amazon buys plex and bricks it.

It'll just be replaced. Plex is a convenience.

Yeah HBO Max used to be my favorite streaming platform, now I'm considering just cancelling it.

Same. Unsubscribed because of that. Thought we were getting an endless supply of dc content. Titans, doom patrol…. And then nothing.

Dude just pirate at this point in my country where there isn't HBO and they partnered with other streaming services I had to pirate the entire DCAMU DCAOMU and Tommorowverse except the last 2 crisis films

Strange, I'm doing a marathon right now and the only one I couldn't find was Gotham Knight. I do was wondering why. In what country do you live?

I'm in the USA.

Weird, I would have thought the US will keep them out of all places. Good thing I started the marathon before they are gone.

I really don't get Warner's mindset.

I couldn't get Constantine city of demons on HBO Max last weekend, despite that being where I watched it years ago. Most of the DC stuff is missing now.

I just saw it recommended to me, but I'm in Costa Rica. I think I better hurry to finish up this marathon.

Tubi and Pluto have some. I don’t cross reference the full catalog but the ones noticed missing were there.

Some of them recently came back after being gone. Like Suicide Squad Hell to Pay, Superman Unbound and Justice League vs Teen Titans. I had some luck with Tubi before.

Have you ever considered, oh, I don't know.... looking somwhere else or purchasing physical media?! Like seriously, why do you even need HBO Max at this point?! You are literally throwing money away, dude. Just cancel your subscription and look somewhere else for DC animated related materials at a lower price. Or just go to a local flea market or a collectibles/antique shop for physical media or even on Amazon or eBay to find physical media as long as they are in good quality.

I agree with the physical media part but you don’t have to be a dick about it. I own all the DCAU on disc but I still liked that HBO had them as well. If for no other reason than for me to recommend films/shows to people.
