Peacemaker Why does Argus keep sending people on missions with a specific weakness, knowing itāll be a problem?
first in The Suicide Squad thereās sending Weasel, a literal weasel, on a mission where he needs to swim to shore. Later in the movie Bloodsport is revealed to have musophobia, a fear of rats, yet was assigned with someone who controls rats. Then in the new Peacemaker episode, Fleury shows that he has ābird blindnessā, on a mission to survey the guy known for having a bird.
i assume itās intentional by now and gunnās realized it, but i wonder if itās just for the joke of having a reason for the character to fail, or it eventually becomes a plot point and maybe itās somehow explained that Argus intentionally does this for whatever reason. what do you think?

Flag Family Spoiler
I'm new to the dcu so I got a ask ... Why is Sr. out to get peacemaker? I mean, yeah he killed his son but in reality ... Jr. Was leader of the suicide squad which is a team that takes missions no one expects them to live through.
I mean, it's in the name. He was expectes to die and he did. Wouldn't you be more angry at yourself, his lifestyle followed yours directly. Shit, even Waller is more responsible, she made him the leader of the team, while she, gave peacemaker, behind Jr.s back, a more extensive mission.
I mean going after peacemaker is the lowest hanging fruit of accountability. Seems weak and like a last ditch effort to be the dad he wasn't.

DC Universe What are your DCU headcanons?
They can be big ones or little ones, Iām just loving this new universe and all the detail.
An inconsequential headcanon I have is that because Lex found weaknesses for Superman and things to avoid for Ultraman simultaneously, he originally included a cape in Ultramanās costume, but removed it after developing more and more ways Superman can be fought like pulling his cape

Chapter One: Gods and Monsters There IS a perfect Batman out there
I believe in James Gunn, but I really think he missed a great opportunity here...

DC Universe What should Lobo's "needle drop" moment be to in the DCU?
"A needle drop isĀ a film and TV technique where a pre-existing, typically popular, song is used to evoke a specific mood or emotion within a scene, rather than an original musical score."
I can see the following being good fits if ever the moment comes (most likely in Supergirl next year),
"Back in Black" by AC/DC
"Walk" by Pantera
"Sad but True" by Metallica
"Superbeast" by Rob Zombie
I actually think "Rollin'" by Limp Bizkit would be fun but I think that could be seen as chasing Netflix's Devil May Cry series...

About the DC logo
I've heard many people saying that they want the DC logo at the beginning of every DCU project to show the hero that stars in said project. While this idea seems nice, I don't think these people understand why Superman is in the logo in the first place. Long story short, Superman's copyright is set to expire in 2034, and while this is still far in the future, it's close enough for DC to be worried. That's why they used the same trick Disney used once they realized Mickey's copyright was close to it's expiration date and put him on their logo. With Superman now being a constant part of the DC logo, they can now make the argument that Superman is part of their brand identity to the point that they can use trademark to protect this character once the copyright expires.

Peacemaker Peacemaker Season 2 Episode 2 Breakdown | Recap & Review
youtu.bePeacemaker Just saw the change to the end of Peacemaker season 1. I ain't even mad about it. Allows more consistency.
Originally, at the end of season one, you see Aquaman and the Flash, played by Jason Momoa and Ezra Miller.
Apparently, it's different according to the 5 minute recap in season 2 episode 1. Honestly not mad at it:
You now see Superman, Supergirl, and the Justice Gang instead. Guy Gardner and Hawkgirl speak. This may be controversial due to how they brought up Aquaman fucking fish and The Flash "confirming it," but maybe this was to not only allow consistency from the Snyderverse to the Gunnverse, but avoid controversy with connecting to Ezra Miller.
The Justice Gang in Superman 2025 is like a "neo-Trinity."
In the Superman 2025, this is the Justice Gang's trinigy:
- Green Lantern = Superman (superhuman feats)
- Terrific = Batman (wealth, intelligence, and athletics)
- Hawkgirl = Wonder Woman (pure female badassery)
If y'all made a "replacement" Trinity, who would you cast? Easy choices for me would be Martain Manhunter, Arrow, and Vixen.

DC Universe Superman Sequel: The Man Who Has Everything
Batman and Wonder Woman have arrived at the Fortress of Solitude to pay their respects to Superman on his birthday. Wonder Woman seems unimpressed at Batman's gift-an envelope containing cash-but he admits that it is hard to shop for "the man who has everything". Upon arrival, they discover their Justice League teammate is standing in the middle of the room, unaware of his surroundings, and with a mysterious alien-looking organism firmly planted on his chest. Wonder Woman realizes the Fortress has been breached, and flies off to investigate.
What they do not immediately realize is that the Last Son of Krypton has been subdued by a telepathic plant from a distant galaxy that renders its victims catatonic and trapped in a dreamworld created from their heart's desires. Superman's mind is now trapped in a most tantalizing prison: a Krypton that never exploded. He lives on a small farm, married to a Kryptonian woman named Loana, with a young son, Van-El, Krypto, and Brainiac, whom he visualizes as the helpful AI attendant of his home.
In the real world, Superman is still incapacitated as Mongul appears before Batman, holding an unconscious Wonder Woman. As he boasts about taking over the planet, Wonder Woman comes around and knocks him down with a kick. As the two face each other, Batman intervenes, prompting Mongul to reveals the origins of the plant. With Superman trapped in a world he himself has created, Mongul presumes that conquering Earth will now be exceedingly simple. Batman futilely tries to buy time and gather clues about the plant, but Wonder Woman's rage cannot be contained. She engages Mongul, though it is apparent from the start that she is outmatched.
Kal-El's journey of the mind takes him before his father Jor-El, now a tired old man forever shamed by his premature warnings of Krypton's destruction. However, Superman now sees the cracks in his false reality, manifesting as increasingly frequent tremors. As he takes Van-El to the roof-mounted zeroscope, the words of his friend Batman, ringing in the real world, begin to slip through to his subconscious. As Batman pulls frantically at the Black Mercy in the real world, Kal-El, now realizing he is simply imagining his new life, tearfully says goodbye to a son who can never exist. As Krypton explodes around him, Kal-El promises Van-El that he will never forget his homeworld and the life he could have lived.
At last, the alien plant comes free, but it immediately clamps onto the chest of Batman, who now slips into his own dreamworld - he is a child again walking home from the movies with his parents, reliving the night they were murdered. This time however, Thomas Wayne retaliates and proceeds to repeatedly punch the gunman, Joe Chill, who killed him in reality.
Realizing the situation, Superman tears after Mongul, and a brutally beaten Wonder Woman crawls to Batman's side to help snap him out of his dreamworld. Nearly blind with rage, Superman batters the would-be tyrant, even using his heat vision to burn Mongul's chest. However, before he can strike a decisive blow, Superman is distracted by a statue-his parents holding Krypton aloft. In his moment of hesitation, Mongul gains the advantage.
Bruce begins to hear Diana calling out her name through his subconscious and this helps him break free of the plant's illusion. Like Superman's dream, Bruce's turns sour when the gunman regains his advantage and shoots Thomas in front of his horrified family. As the shot rings out, the Black Mercy comes free of Batman's chest.
Just before Mongul can finish Superman off, Wonder Woman throws the plant at him. It strikes Mongul, freezing him in place and putting him under its spell.
As the trio regroups, Wonder Woman gives Superman his birthday gift: a new breed of rose named after his homeworld. Superman takes it gladly, before solemnly swearing to his parents' image that he will never forget Krypton. Turning back to the comatose Mongul, they ponder just what sort of dream the plant is causing him to experience. Batman says that whatever it is he's dreaming about, it's far too good for him, and indeed, Mongul's beaten face smiles weakly as cries of agony and sounds of war echo in his mind.
TL;DR - Batman and Wonder Woman (or another group of heroes more connected to Superman, like Supergirl and Steel?) find Superman under the control of an alien (Black Mercy) after Mogul has tricked him with a present on his birthday. The team has to save Superman from this threat, whilst he experiences what life on Krypton would be like for him if it wasnāt destroyed. Once freed, Superman takes the fight to Mogul whilst Batman experiences what would happen if his Father stopped Joe Chill from killing them (This could be replaced with Supergirl experiencing Brainiac attacking Krypton).

The Brave and the Bold I would really like the DCU Batman to have a scene similar to this in the film.
Whether it is at the beginning, with Damian Wayne questioning why his Father would waste his time saving a puppy from a gang, or at the end, with Damian Wayne now understanding and helping his Father return the puppy.
Just something like this to confirm the DCU Batman cares about never giving up and always providing hope for the people of Gotham.

Superman (2025) Origin for BodaBank?
Something I've been wondering about since my first viewing of the movie is the bank that LuthorCorp uses, BodaBank. It's such a distinct name, but I can't seem to find any basis for it in previous DC media. Is it a reference to some other work, or possibly a real world name I'm failing to recognize?

Robert Pattinson's Bruce Wayne fully misses the mark.
I rewatched the Batman recently and while I do overall enjoy the film and the story, Pattinson's portrayal of Bruce Wayne is just so wrong that it ruins the whole thing in my opinion. This emo, reclusive Bruce would be such an obvious Batman and there is no way Riddler wouldn't have put two and two together if he didn't have plot armor to deal with.
I believe this is the main reason Gunn is moving on from this version of Batman. He needs a real Bruce Wayne because that's the real mask. The rich, handsome, socialite who has women falling at his feet and throws his money around because he can. Who would suspect this guy runs around in a costume at night protecting the poor? And that's the point.
Bale and Nolan understood this. Affleck too. I believe Gunn does as well and I look forward to his choice to take up the cape and cowl.
Ugh just thinking about Pattinson's greesy hair , pale skin, slight frame as Bruce makes me ill.
