I was there and a bit of a metal fan(amongst most other things) in my opinion Def Leppard, though they are a Download group, much of their set is AOR and totally suitable for a Radio 2 festival, not much more a surprise than Bryan Adams the day before, they are hardly Iron Maiden.

Watched it live on iPlayer and it was really good. A few mixing issues where Joe was buried in the mix briefly occurred but that didn’t take away from the performance. I half hoped for Wasted in the set as that usually goes down well with crowds. Just Like 73 was fantastic as was Heartbreak and Switch.

I watched it on iPlayer last night - Joe’s vocals were appalling for the first 2 songs but they seemed to steadily improve - saying that, I only watched the first six songs - the rest of the band were fine and sounded pretty tight

Opened with "Take me Down" and played "This Guitar"? What is this reviewer on about?

Yeah, it was a great gig. We got down the front for Sophie Ellis-Bextor at 12:30pm and held our spot for 8 hours until Def Leppard came out
They played all the hits and were as polished as ever, really looking forward to seeing them next year at the O2!
