If you haven't already, I'd try Kagi for search. Their introduction of Privacy Pass early this year convinced me to try it and it's so much better than DDG, which I used for a couple years. I also thought Brave was better than DDG but not nearly as good as Kagi.

It is very complicate replace Whatsapp. If you don't have friends, family, clients... maybe. How do you manage not to use whatsapp?

the process is quite gradual, I got my family and few friends to get over to signal, but they do use wa for other contacts, which is understandable. but maybe one or two person a year, I'm expanding signal contacts.

I tried this, but it's complicated.

it is. and it's painfully slow.
It was not easy for me either, and in recent year thanks to last year's scandal with politicians I get weird looks now if I say why I use signal, and well, I have to explain and show things like videos from Louis and other advocates. they usually understand but not necessairly willing to make contact on signal. but once or twice a year, I find new (or old) acquaintance and some people do have signal, in which case we just exchange the contact. and that is more getting common too.
I guess signal is getting popular enough to the point where some people do actually use it, and I'm happy whenever I see people who use them! but yea, process of getting people to install (while letting them keep the other contact as well) is not exactly easy, but hey, at least family and close frined communication is now on Signal for me, so I guess that is a small victory.

I think you can make it with family or close friends, they can make that extra effort for you. But when you have everyday contacts/sms with clients or colegues, it is really hard.

Don't think so, I have my work phone, work email, work teams profile. some colleagues actually use signal and we take personal contact through them, but anyting work related, I do it over work phone.

Yeah, someone else who uses FileN. I've been renting the service for 3 years now and am super satisfied. filen.io deserves more attention.

Unless you know how to tweak the right settings, I recommend a private fork of Firefox: Librewolf on PC and Ironfox on Android
