Diablo IV Launch purchase with battle pass

I originally bought Diablo 4 when it launched. I remember it came with a free battle pass purchase that could be used later. I only played for a month or so before being bored and never bought the first battle pass.

I just reinstalled and thought I would try it out again, see whats changed. When I clicked on the ingame battle pass it says my purchase was converted into platinum, but it was still showing I had 0.

Any else do something similar or know what actually happened?

Diablo II Please help me edit an incomplete mod.

Hello, is there anyone in this group who regularly edits other members' unfinished mods? I really like the mod called Voidstone Patch 4.0 but I can't play the Assassin character in this mod. Although the Assassin character cannot be created in the game, I can still create the Assassin character using the Hero Editor. However, the irony is that even if I can create the Assassin character using the Hero Editor, I can only log in the first time, starting from the second time, the error "Unable to enter game, bad inventory data" will appear. While the other 6 characters can still be played normally. The lead member of this mod, Ascended1962, was last online on Moddb in May 2022, his Discord.gg channel is no longer available for communication. I would like someone to fix the "Unable to enter game, bad inventory data" error when logging in the second time with the Assassin character of the Voidstone Patch 4.0 mod. This is enough for me, and all the other things like power stats, skills should be left as is, no need to change. If it is possible to create an Assassin character in the game, that would be great, otherwise just creating it with the Hero Editor software is fine, I just need to be able to log in the second time to play the Assassin character without errors. Here is the mod download link: https://www.moddb.com/mods/diablo-ii-voidstone-patch-40-enriched-edition/downloads/voidstone-online-final

I really hope some third party company will make Mephisto. Highly unlikely… In the meantime Necronominus will suffice.

Diablo IV A Full Review of Season 10 PTR - A Season of Theorycrafting?

Thumbnail

Hey there guys!

I know I'm a bit late to the party, but here is my review of the now concluded PTR for S10 PTR. We talk about new things that will come this season, and also just the PTR experience in general that's slowly improving (like unique item cache finally having Ancestrals), but there's still more room for improvement - for example Pit levels not unlocking etc.

But more importantly, we talk about all the new changes coming in S10, and if you're a D4 fan there's a lot to look forward to. I know this sub can sometimes have a negative outlook on the game - but the new Chaos Armor is really a game changer. It's probably the best addition to the game since its inception, and it has potentially huge ramifications. For example, every possible skill in the game can be viable in T4, even if it's not supported by specific uniques or aspects.

Don't believe me? I made a Devourer build (that you can check out here) out of all things, and even had it clear Pit 80. This is the first season in which people can actually do some proper theorycrafting, as opposed to just following someone else's build blindly. And I say that as someone that makes builds. To me, that's quite exciting.

So if you have 15 minutes of your time to spare, then check out the video and let me know what you think. And if you played the PTR already, what did you think about it?

Diablo III Which class should I choose diablo 3

Hi I'm going to be playing D3 soon with 3 other friends and I am debating which class to play as the Monk or the Crusader. In everyone's opinion which should I choose? I loved playing the Paladin in D2 I liked the healing capability that he had for my group like the ability he had to heal poison (not sure of the name). Do they both have healing ability?

Thanks in advanced.

Discussion Big fan of D1 and 2. Should I buy Diablo 4?

So I have played diablo 1 and 2 since launch. I played 3 really late, around 2020 and beat the game in normal, I remember being really unimpressed (like gharbad ha).

Now, for the last couple of months I felt the need to play these games again and decided to challenge myself and beat hell in diablo 2, did it and loved every second of pain (This after beating diablo 1 again with devolution x).

Now I'm trying to play diablo 3 again, and now I just can't stand it, I feel extremely bored compared to the other two. It feels like there is no true agency on anything. So to my main question: Considering all of this, is diablo 4 worth it? The art direction looks a lot better than 3, but something I've learned through the years is that no matter how many videos I watch i just can't anticipate how well a game feels. Do you feel it honored the classics?

EDIT: Thank you all! I decided to not buy it (at least for now) I'll see if I give POE2 or LE a chance!

Discussion How do we feel about the story of Diablo Immortal?

I just finished the ancient's cradle questline, with baal's return, the butcher and the mansion flashback scene to Aiden and albrecht's childhood — I had a great time honestly considering it's a free experience. I've still got the southern dreadlands, worlds crown and sharval wilds (druid zone) to catch up with the main story. They've added a heap of content to this game post-launch. I took a year or two away from the game and had no idea this much content had been added to the experience. It also appears from my early impressions — they have added a few catch-up mechanics for people farming Combat Rating to get slightly closer to a Pay to Win players experience. The PvE seems entirely enjoyable from a free standpoint. What do you guys think about the current state of Immortal?

Diablo II My weapon just disappeared in Diablo II: Resurrected. Here are the details.

This is my third attempt to post this somewhere relevant, but it's not easy to post as a brand new account on Reddit. Once I get enough karma (or whatever I need to post in the more relevant subreddits), I'll post there.

***

Hey everybody, I know DII:R has some age on it now, but I haven't played it in a year or two, and I had hoped this bug had been resolved. Alas, it has not.

My main hand weapon disappeared today due to a bug. Here are the circumstances that caused it to happen. Maybe there's a detail here that someone could use to fix this problem.

I play on PS5 (base, not Pro) and this was on an offline character. I had just leveled up after beating Shenk in Act V on Nightmare on my Fist of the Heavens / Smite hybrid Paladin. I went straight back to town to use the quest reward to add a socket to my Wizardspike. I did so, and quickly added a Shael rune to it. Then I opened my skill tree to spend my skill point.

I misread the FoH description to think Resist Lightning rather than Holy Shock boosted lightning damage - no idea why, but for some reason I had gotten that in my head. So I added one point - the only point so far - into Resist Lightning. I switched back over to see how much FoH's damage had increased when I realized my stupidity: the damage hadn't increased at all, and I saw clearly that Holy Shock, not Resist Lightning, was the skill that boosted FoH's lightning damage.

I quickly opened the PS5 menu and hard-closed the game without saving and exiting in the hopes that it wouldn't have synchronized the last 30 seconds or so with the game server.

When I returned, the skill point into Resist Lightning had indeed been refunded. That was good. But my Wizardspike was nowhere to be seen. And, oddly, the socket quest reward was no longer available, and the Shael that I had used on my Wizardspike was now back in my stash.

But my Wizardspike was completely gone. Not on my second weapon switch, not in my character stash, and not in my shared stash. It was just gone.

I know it's just a Wizardspike, and people have lost a lot more - including full characters - to this bug, but it's still frustrating, and it really, really should have been addressed a long time ago. Also, I still have fairly regular issues (i.e., once every handful of play sessions) where there are supposed discrepancies between the PS5 console save and the cloud save. Now when I finish a session, I always go to the "View sync status..." option in the PS5 main menu to ensure that the console and cloud saves are the same. It's an annoying extra step that I can easily forget after a long or late play session, and it shouldn't be necessary.

Anyway, maybe my loss can be someone else's gain, preferably someone at Blizzard or Vicarious Visions, and some detail of my problem can help illuminate the underlying problem causing this bug.

Or maybe I'm screaming into the void. Anyway, thanks for listening. If anyone has tips on how to avoid this in the future, I'm all ears.

Immortal Question about Immortal...

I have played every Diablo game, started at about 8yrs old(now 35).

Am i just confused or can you not do the Immortal story missions on any difficulty other than base difficulty?

I'm like Paragon 200, have unlocked Hell 1 but anytime I swap to it, the game tells me I can only do the story missions on base difficulty.

Discussion Thinking of giving Diablo 4 another shot, is it worth it now?

So I bought Diablo 4 when it first came out, super hyped. I’ve been into ARPGs forever, played all the previous Diablos to death, starting with the first one way back. Also spent a ton of time on Path of Exile and Grim Dawn, so I’m not exactly new to the genre.

But D4 just didn’t do it for me. Something felt off. I dropped it after a few weeks, didn’t even bother with the expansion. It felt kinda shallow and repetetive, and I wasn’t really having fun.

One of the things that really bugged me was the skill system. It felt super limited, like you’re locked into a handful of viable builds and there’s not much room to experiment. Most skills felt kinda samey, and I got bored fast. Compared to other ARPGs, the customization just didn’t hit that satisfying depth.

Now I’m hearing it’s improved a lot since launch, thinking maybe it’s time to give it another chance,

Has the expansion actually changed things for the better, like, is it just more content or did they really rework the core systems?

I saw some people saying it feels almost like a different game now, with major changes to loot, builds, and progression, is that true, Would love to hear from folks who’ve played recently, is Diablo 4 finally worth diving back into or still kinda meh?

Diablo II Found my old Diablo II Battle Chest — strategy guide builds are a trip

Post image
202 Upvotes

Was cleaning today and stumbled across my original Diablo II Battle Chest. Thought I lost it years ago (even bought another copy back then). Everything’s still inside — box, discs, and that chunky BradyGames strategy guide.

Flipping through the guide now is wild. It’s full of early builds like Whirlwind Barb, Zeal Paladin, Frozen Orb Sorc, Bowazon, Summoner Necro… even the “new” LoD classes had their first drafts in there (Trapsin, Fury Druid, etc.). They all read so different from what we think of as “meta” now, since this was pre-synergies and pre-runewords.

Anyone else still have their Battle Chest kicking around? Or better yet — what’s the funniest/most outdated advice you remember from those old guides?

Discussion Is Shred considered “Shapeshifting?”

This is probably a Druid 101 but I couldn’t find the answer. So I build a werewolf Druid with : 1. True form is werewolf always 2. Shred is my nonstop damage tool.

My question is, by spamming Shred, does each attack count as “shapeshifiting” so that 1. Natural Fortitude will trigger (shapeshifting fortifies you” 2. Heightened Senses triggers as well ( when Shapeshifting , gain 3% damage reduction as Bear and 3% speed as wolf”.

Thank you !

Discussion I need there to be a new game like Diablo 1

Something that scratches the same "survival horror ARPG" itch. Even in Diablo 2, you got to just slay your way through hordes of enemies. Diablo 1 you could do that too but everyone was a glass cannon that'd flinch when hit so even at your strongest you needed to have some level of care. No health regen, limited potions, it led to a game feel none of the other Diablos captured. I kinda want a new, more modern take that goes the opposite direction and leans even further into the vulnerability. If there isn't any game like this, there should be! I guess almost something like Fear and Hunger except as an ARPG.

Edit: sorry for the ramble I'm on mobile

Discussion D2R: qual a melhor classe pra uma pessoa iniciante?

Recentemente ganhei o D2R de um anjo aqui do Reddit e comecei a jogar. Comecei o jogo de feiticeira, e estou fazendo build de relâmpago. Atualmente estou no lvl12. Curtindo o jogo. Mas não sei se a feiticeira me prendeu tanto assim, na opinião de vocês, qual classe vocês preferem e porque?

Hi all. Planning to re-play Diablo 1 and I was wondering what you guys play…I mean: I already played Belzebub version and wanted to try another mod that stays similar to the OG.

I read on this sub about DevilutionX and The Hell mod. Any recommendations? What do you play?

Discussion D2R: started Act 2 at lvl 20.

Guess I gotten too exploration happy and I somehow ended up finishing Act 1 at lvl 20. The game was stupidly easy up until this point, playing a Paladin. Never even got my health lower than 50%, except in the Andariel fight, and even that was a breeze.

I'm afraid that by being this overlevelled at this point I'll just compound the problem, and I'll end up finding the game utterly boring. Most guides say that lvl 20 is suited for act 3, and here I am in act 2 with so many tombs and desert areas ahead of me, that I'll just plow through without breaking a single sweat.

Is there any way to just slow the exp gain, or maybe even stop it, until I get to a more level appropriate area? I really love the game, the story and it's atmosphere, but it's starting to get mind numbingly boring to play.
