I remember spitting in Des Moines a few years ago and being able to hear Garrett Gurthie tee off. He gets so much spin it sounds like a plane going past you.

Must have been super worn out of disc if spin added some sound.

In general it's just the speed of the disc and it penetrating through air, some turbulence on bottom side perhaps when the airflow leaves the rim.

Spin doesn't really displace any air unless there's something wrong with the disc. Yeah, you could have minor surface effects but I don't think it was the spin, it was the speed.
