Pathology Results

Post image

My mom’s pathology results were posted to her portal at the end of last week but no one on her oncology team has called to discuss them. I read over them and based off of my not so extensive medical knowledge it basically is just a big question mark. Does anyone else have experience with this or can interpret them a little better than I can?

Definitely call and/or send a message via the portal asking for an explanation of this pathology.

At a glance, it looks like there is evidence of cancer that is not well-organized (poorly differentiated) with cells that are transitioning to squamous cells which is rare compared to the more common endometriod adenocarcinoma. Also, it's unclear whether the cancer originates from the cervix or the endometrium.

Again, call/message them asap and see when they can make a video/phone/in-office visit to further discuss asap.

I’m so sorry. I saw your previous post about the Mets on her lungs. I’m sure everything is so overwhelming for you both. I remember all too well navigating this with my mom, as she went through metastatic cancer. She had ascites and that was a huge hindrance in her ability to fight. Her battle was extremely short. She passed two weeks after being officially diagnosed.

I saw where you asked if you should move home to help your mom. If that’s a possibility / doable, then I would do it. If you can’t, then at the very least help arrange a local advocate for her.

Praying for your mom and for you as you go through this journey.

You need to call immediately! Your mom has metastatic cancer and needs treatment.

WTF! They haven't called yet? You call them. She needs to get in there and get her treatment plan.

You need to insist on an appointment to go over a treatment t plan. Your mom should not be alone for this apt because it’s always an overwhelming topic and unfamiliar information so an extra pair of ears and a note taker is very useful. Have your questions written down. It’s hard- I’m sorry .

Whether it’s cervical or endometrial, it has escaped the reproductive organs and spread beyond it.

My son ran my test results through AI and changed everything for me. Run tests through Gemini, Grok or ChatGPT. Ask all your questions!
