Serbia is currently experiencing protest and clashes against the government and its police forces.

This thread is to gather all the single pieces of media, pictures and videos.

However every main event and news in the form of link will deserve its own topic.

Do Serbian students still go to uni, or are there blockades? Will they lose this academic year? I mean will that impact the economy since there won't be a whole generation of educated people coming to the market?

Just to clarify, I know that fighting for democracy and human rights is far more important than that, it just crossed my mind.

Depends on the faculty. It's a mixed bag, some faculties are under "total blockades", some are under blockades while conducting exams, and some had a low amount of students residing in the buildings during the summer so the staff dispersed and kicked them out.

There are exams currently going on so the students most definitely won't lose the entire school year, but the preparation for those was very rushed and unorganized, they are pretty much left to their own to prepare and study for them.

And about the market - the government does not care. They don't give a shit about the market, they only keep it stable so that they have a semi-functional economy that allows them to steal, and even that's interrupted now. The market has been in a very bad state for several years now for the common folk either way. They also hate educated people, as they are the ones leading the self-organizing resistance movement. They hate Serbia in general, they don't want to be associated with it, they are disgusted by it and its people and they just see all of this as means to their selfish ends. They are only interested in stealing as much as possible until the people force them out of power, I suspect that most of these officials will be escaping to Dubai or some other place like that after this is all over where they can live out the rest of their shallow, pathetic, sycophantic lives with all the money they've stolen over the years and where they won't have to face the consequences over the terror they've inflicted on the people of Serbia the past 13 years.
