Not everything is whataboutism.

I brought up the Americans to show how problematic "tear Russia down and start over" is.

It will implode eventually anyway, through revolution or civil war. Totalitarianism is inherently unstable.

What we need to be ready for is to help the Russian people rebuild their country (just like we will help the Ukrainian people rebuild theirs).
