Are germans also your enemy? They have tried to conquer Europe more than 2 times. Or japanese? I mean, they've done a lot of bad things during WWII and were even more cruel than russians are now. Are they marked as your eternal enemy as well?

They fucked up the world generations ago, got defeated, and have been perfectly civilised and democratic countries ever since. Meanwhile, Russia has always been a brutish oppressor to everyone it could manage to oppress, never stopped, and is conducting an incredibly cruel war against civilians right now. See the difference??

No one gave a shit that Napoleon burned Russia, because no one likes Russia. Never had, never will.

And it was the Queen that stopped Napoleon "the Hitler" Bonaparte. Not Russia.

In truth, probably since December 1922. The rise of the Soviet Union marks that last time Russia was geopolitically seen as a fellow and friendly nation within the West.

But for most Redditors, this is practically “for all time”, so the difference is more or less immaterial to them.
