Has absolutely nothing to do with this polling performance at all. The vast majority of people either don't know what it is or support it. Reddit porn addicts are not representative of the wider population.

If you make look Farage like the only person who defends civil liberties opressed by authoritarian government, than whether he will enact anything he promises is kinda irrelevant
