I walked along part of the Tara in Bosnia and Montenegro in 2023, the plateau area above it in Montenegro and the views onto the river from above are stunning. I found some really lonely places up there which is just what I wanted

I've been there as well and it's beautiful, but I think you mixed up the Tara river region in Montenegro with the Tara mountain in Serbia.

Until 20 days ago National Park Tara was a public enterprise so it was managed as a public good, but current goverment turned it to LLC, so the state could easily sell shares in the future. The same goes for Serbia Forest, Serbia Waters, Roads of Serbia, Official Gazette, Ski resorts of Serbia, National Park Fruška Gora and Đerdap, Post of Serbia, JP Nuclear Facilities of Serbia...
Just one thing of many that triggered nationwide anti-corruption protests in the last 9 months.
