I mean even if that happens, the Polish teen males who are reporting loneliness might not be the same Polish teen males who are organizing the hoe patrols. Both things can be happening at the same time

It is. Angry, disappointed people are the easiest target.

Meanwhile the gap between boys and girls is widening. Most (not all) women would rather be single than be with these types even if that means not having a family.

It literally is. Fascists found a way to manipulate young men, prey on their insecurities, and turn them into fascist sympathizers.

They make young men into hateable humans and people that no girl can stand to be around, then they make the young men believe that it's the girls' faults and blame feminism and whatever. Then they're susceptible to the fascist pipeline.

I have male former students who've told me about this first-hand, about how they were sucked down that pipeline for a spell before they managed to get out.

As a long time biology nerd I'm not suprised by all of this in the slightest. "The male loneliness" and everything adjacent to it is a sympthom of different reproductive strategies and behaviours of males and females. Either we start treating transhumanism seriously and do something about it or we won't survive this century. Mark my words.

it's not even conspirology, at this point making people angry and scared over made-up bullshit is something Sun Tzu would've written if he made 'The Art of War' but for mass politics. oddly this time it's not some tiny minority like the gays or arabs but literally 50% of the population. dimensional merge must be coming i guess

This. The loneliness epidemic started first, incel came later as some heinous people saw vulnerable young people and thought "hey, we can make a cult out of this!”

I think it's important to keep this in mind when dealing with people who identify as such. It's a fine line between not tolerating bullshit, but also not driving them deeper into the arms of this movement.

And maybe acknowledge that boys and men are increasingly struggling to find meaning because society has failed to catch up with modern gender roles and education fails to engage them.

We don't have to go backwards, we have to go forwards. The women's role has improved for the better (until recently at least), but they remain relatively unchanged for men. They are simultaneously expected to do the same thing they always were, yet no longer can do.

So step 1 is to stop shaming men for living with their parents, for not having had (loads) of sex - i.e. for not excelling in their (old fashioned) gender role. Every shaming incels for their loneliness and celibacy is actively contributing to the problem.

Unconvince yourself. It’s the real deal and part of the eternal cycle that always reboots this fascist shit. 

We have to figure out how to break the cycle. Maybe in the 39th century.

Until then it will continue to be utilized by authoritarians of all stripes.
